itc-battles-app's Issues

Export stats

Would like to see stats for secondaries, primaries, missions etc. Or be able to export games using csv.

Chaos space Marine secondaries part 2

So I opened an issue about this for eternal War but I realized I should probably enumerate the other ones. Might be a good idea just to make a general pass over all of the books just to ensure that all of the armies have their secondaries. Also for chaos space Marines most sub factions also have their own and I think those are missing everywhere as well too.

At a second glance even missions in eternal War seem to be missing them. Could you please go through and add these objectives to all of the missions/books? Is any more information needed from me?

export results as a spreadsheet

Not sure if this will be added or not for quality reasons. There would be no way to tell if a game is a top table at a GT or just someone messing around with the app. Stats will be sent to BCP when that integration is finished, that might be enough.

App does not support Split View on iPad

Just a suggestion. On iOS 14.4.0, ITC Battles cannot show side-by-side with other apps using Split View. Slide Over seems to work with other apps on top of ITCB, but I can’t transition to Slide View or have ITCB on top of another window.

I think this would be a pretty handy use case for iPad users in landscape mode, especially for rules apps or notes side by side with game tracking.

better deployment maps

I've noticed the deployment maps can be a little confusing, I would like to add some color to the player zones so it's clear where you can deploy.

bcp submission bug

Just found out today that I had implemented part of the API incorrectly. The current version 0.7.0 will give an error message if you try to submit BCP results, wait for 0.7.2 which has been submitted to the app store (should be available this evening or tomorrow).

Issue with battle outcome

When I do the scoring for a battle and go to homepage, it says that both sides won the battle. (Even if it's a really ckear outcome) I have checked online and I'm not doing anything wrong in the app. Thank you anyway, your app is great: it's just one small issue!

expand secondary notes section

"a more specific way to label targets for things like Marked and Pick your Poison would be really cool"

Not sure if this makes sense or just complicated things. Seems just as easy to look at your opponent's dead units.

error checking for primaries and secondaries

Show an error if one of these rules is broken:

  • Only one player can have Kill More each round
  • The player who had more kills should have Kill 1
  • Only one player can have Hold More each round
  • Only one player can have Bonus each round
  • A secondary can only be chosen once per-player

Suggestion: bulk clear old games

It would be nice if there was a quick way to clear old games (eg > 3 months old) or to filter the stats based on a date range. I have games from 8th Ed tracked and they don’t mean much for my current performance.

Thanks for all you do, the app is great.

Feature Request: Android TV Integration

I know this is kind of a ridiculous request, but I figure the worst that can happen is that you say it is too complicated. I haven't used Vue.js before so I don't know what kind of work would be required to make the app compatible with Android TV, but I personally love to have the scoring tab up on a screen to use as a scoreboard during games that both players can see as it has all the info you could want. Integration with Andoird TV (If not too much of a hassle) would allow me to display the scoreboard much easier than trying to fight with chromecast or hook up a laptop display.

Suggestion: Conditions and scoring summary for secondaries

Would be really handy if you could tap on each of your selected secondaries in the Scoring screen to see a brief bullet-pointed summary (perhaps as a pop-up) of the objective conditions, points and when they are scored. This would really help with the confusion created by the fact that all the different secondaries are scored at different times and sometimes have two different points levels.

Here's an couple of examples of the sort of thing I mean ...

ENGAGE ON ALL FRONTS
Points scored: End of your turn
Conditions:

  • 2 points - one or more units wholly within three different table quarters and more than 6" from centre.
  • 3 points - one or more units wholly within each table quarter and more than 6" from centre.

RAISE THE BANNERS HIGH
Points scored: End of your Command Phase + end of battle
Conditions:

  • Perform "Raise Banners" action on a controlled objective
  • 1 point at the end of each of your Command Phases for every objective with a banner
  • 1 point at the end of the battle for every objective with a banner remaining
  • Banner is removed from an objective if your opponent controls it

Add French and Spanish translations

I've had only one request for each language. Localization wasn't setup in the app at creation, so this isn't really feasible right now, but it's something to keep in mind if a rebuild happens.

chess clock counting down too fast?

Comment was: "Was using the app at a tournament and noticed the chess clock is messed up. After about an hour, the timing seems to go REALLY fast. Like 3 seconds per second."

I believe this is caused by the inaccuracy of setInterval. Need to change the timer to work off the internal clock instead.

track what round a secondary was scored

These secondaries could benefit from per-round scoring:

  • Butcher's Bill
  • Recon
  • Behind Enemy Lines
  • King of the Hill
  • Engineers

Maybe something similar to the kill count where tapping somewhere lets you check which rounds a secondary was achieved.

Feature Request: Tempest of War

Primary/secondary scoring works similarly in this format, and I believe that support for it (even if that initially means counting secondary points by hand) would be a nice to have.

Ideally one should be able to select which secondaries were scored each round for how many points, but that's unnecessary. At the very least supporting the different primary missons and a basic counter for secondaries should be a good improvement over nothing!

global notes section for player reference

Original suggestion: "It would be nice if we could have a notepad that works across all battles where you can keep notes for your army. Could be reminders to use certain stratagems, or whatever. A notepad with the ability to attach pictures would be great addition. Something that could be viewed during any battle. Also be able to store multiple notes for different armies."

possible back button issue

Comment was "U with the back button worked and not have to click the top right of the screen to exit something. The amount of times I end up at the first screen is annoying"

Back button on Android seems to work fine for me, not sure what this is referencing.

CA 21 updates

It would be great if the changes to secondary objectives could be added to the app.

I‘d be willing to do it myself if the code is provided

cheers,
Tim

Loss of Victory Poins

Last night I played Conversion mission that has a rule for player loosing 1 VP if not controlling Owen deployment zone objective and we reduced VP in second primary to account for that, as there seems to be no feature to record VP losses.

A few missions in Nephilin and Nachmund CA include rules for players loosing VP under certain conditions. It would be great to have the possibility to record such losses.
