need migration to add user_id for storage

regardless of zoom, lines should take up same amount of space, relative to the map.

incremental build towards drawing on map:

user can draw on a canvas

User needs to be able to set their draw with, and paint with larger/smaller brush strokes

THIS NEEDS TO BE STORED IN DB AND RENDERED!

user should see a visible indicator of the current "brush" under the mouse.
Its size and color should reflect what will be drawn.

when I draw on the map, I should have a slider that adjusts the size of the paintbrush

It needs to be full screen on page load, regardless of canvas size.

Buttons at the bottom should "hang into" the canvas space.

when users draw on the map, they colors should let the background bleed through.

1. cache data locally, don't pull from server as much
2. push new data to server every 5-10 seconds, AFTER storing it locally
3. Move coordinate storage to PG geocordinates

when I visit root_path,
I should see sidebar filling 1/3 of screen (right side)
and this sidebar should have instructions

I can pan and zoom map
(like normal google maps functionality)

and fill some of it with a brush
I should see how much of the map (as a percentage) is filled with my markings

if a user uses the "boundary" tool to draw a shape around an area on the map

they will have a display that says "please fill in remaining 100% of shape", and the percentage will go down as they "paint in" the area

Once it's all painted, they'll get a display of the results elsewhere on the page

user can use color picker to choose from list of colors

will start w/color wheel

will finish with just a list of colors for them.

Drawing mode enabled when shift key isn't down any more.

using local_storage, drawings should persist across refresh.

when I draw on the map

I should be able to undo the last action I took on the map

when I visit project root
I should see google maps nav filling 2/3 width of screen

when I select a given color, I should be able to see that it's selected by "highlighting" that color from color picker.

No clue how to do this...

but user needs to be able to see google maps on canvas

and then toggle "draw" mode, and mark up the map.

AND THEN THE DRAWING NEEDS TO "stick" TO THE MAP! HOLY WTF

Cursor "marker" does not indicate where drawing is happening

something with calculating x/y coords

can create random value per line, so all makers w/that line can be deleted.

Now that every point is converted to lat/lng, I need to batch push to the DB
