Migrate to Cinnamon settings API

Since 1.8.x Cinnamon has provided its own settings API for applets/desklets etc.

This allows settings to be simply defined in JSON file and a settings application/GUI is automatically generated by Cinnamon and integrated into the Cinnamon settings application.

This issue tracks the migration to this new API.

Prettier tags in menu

The tags in the menu currently appear as #tagname after the activity. This is the way they were displayed in the Gnome shell extension.

In the Hamster windows (e.g. overview window) these tags are displayed as neat little yellow labels under the activity. Doing something similar on the Cinnamon applet menu would make it look nicer and improve readability for activities with many tags.
