Symlink is not available on extfat... which is a standard format for usb keys...
Thus, it may be better either to switch to symlinkless implementation : instead of having php=>php8.1, php will be a standard folder with php8.1 and if version is changed, the php folder will be renamed to php8.1 and new php folder will contain php8.2...
To enable this, VERSION.txt must exist in each app (which is already the case)...
This would also impact the fact that some programs are following links, thus resolving apps/php to apps/php8.1 ... which is good and bad... as when upgrading the program, it may have more side-effects...

Shortcuts must also be explored... would they work with new version ?...

and add ref to AppName field {{APP}} ...

and then use symlink instead of junction (relative)...
