There could be actions which ideally happen every day, or every week or some such, which will never be completed.
It would be useful to have a checklist (probably starting with daily actions as the easiest to implement) to remind the user of the actions they have labelled as daily actions. This would be an addition to the daily action reminders, which are expected to progress to completion.

Make a more obvious route to connect a Contact with an Entry (such as a ... dropdown for multiple other options rather than overloading the End button) and allow multiple contacts to be associated with an entry, which would allow, for example, all the attendants at a meeting.

If the day rolls over, create a summary window, labelled with which day it is for, which will be saved with the appropriate day

Allow the current action to be suspended - i.e. moved from Active to Pending, with an ability to easily add and Active-after to reactivate it at a given time.
