Send data and analysis by e-mail. Add all data to a zip, allow user to specify an e-mail address to send the data to, and send the zip file from an e-mail address, which is stored in a local file. Make sure the sender e-mail address and password are not publically visible in the repo.

Add more and better comments to Labview files

JV figures in the auto-generated report appear too small so the legend obscures the curves. The heading text is too large for long headings so adjacent headings overlap.

Plot J-V parameters as a function of scan number. Add scan number as a field in the log file.

Write a single function that can handle all plotting cases and use it in the main data analysis Python script.

The codebase has been written on an ad hoc basis, which makes it difficult to read. It should be refactored to improve readability.

Add spectral responsivity calculation and plot.

The experimental data folder path and log file path are currently read in the analysis Python script after overwriting the text using LabView. To improve readability and generalise the functionality of the script, use the Python argparse library to parse filepath arguments as command line arguments when calling SystemExec in LabView.

Generate, save and add all plots to the powerpoint individually. Use python-pptx to format the output and then convert it to pdf.

Make sure the data analysis script is robust to most probable user input in label, variable, and value fields. Ensure it can handle special characters e.g. spaces, tabs, " , @ + _ - ' etc. If this is not possible then limit the formatting for strings in LabView.

If an instrument is not detected the initialisation proceeds anyway. It should prompt for an repeat test to guarantee the user has connected the instrument.

Save the plot data in an Origin readable format during data analysis so other users can make Origin plots if they want to.
