app.js is getting huge and hard to read

Using Jenkins' docker agent leaves us with 2 possibilities:

1. The pipeline job runs indefinitely without successfully completing.
2. Add a & to the end of the deploy script and it will simply close the container.

Need to have Jenkins explicitly build and start up a Node Docker container that runs the complete build.

Self-explanatory. Have Jenkins receive Git post-commit hooks to build and deploy.

Got a permission denied error with it.
