I haven't thought too hard about it, so let's make sure that when the millis() function overflows we're going to do the right thing.

The numbers are sort-of "backwards" right now. in order to say "2", you want to push numbers down the line such that the nixie driver sees 0 0 1 0, but in order to do that, you need to push 0 1 0 0.

SD cards operate at 3.3V rather than 5V, so that needs to be taken into account

The DIP sockets' holes are smaller than the other holes, and also make it difficult to actually fit the chip legs into the hole.

Although the arduino can roughly keep track of the time during times that it doesn't have a gps signal, the drift is pretty bad. (on the order of 2s per minute). It is possible to have the clock self-calibrate by assessing its own drift against the GPS clock, and adjusting accordingly.
