Teachings

For teaching some things.

To get started:

  • Go to github and create an account.
  • Setup your local git config
    • git config --global user.name "Firstname Lastname"
    • git config --global user.email [email protected]
  • Create an SSH key:
    • Run ssh-keygen from a terminal and follow the instructions
  • Copy your public key to your profile in github:
    • Your public key will be ~/.ssh/id_rsa.pub
  • Fork this repo
  • Clone the repo to your machine:
    • Run git clone [email protected]:<user>/teachings.git (obviously replace <user> with your github user)
  • Edit this README file and add yourself to the contributors list at the bottom
    • cd teachings && vim README.md
  • Commit your new change
    • git commit -a -m "Some message about what you did"
  • Push your change
    • git push
  • Submit a pull request via the github page for your fork of my repo
