OVERVIEW

The Automatic Identification System (AIS) is an automatic tracking 
system used on ships and by vessel traffic services (VTS) for 
identifying and locating vessels by electronically exchanging 
data with other nearby ships AIS Base stations and Satellites.

REQUIREMENTS

gr-ais requires:

* Python
* Gnuradio
* Ettus UHD for use with USRPs
* osmosdr for use with RTLSDR dongles (work in progress)
* CMake

BUILDING

gr-ais uses CMake as its build system. To build, from the top
level directory, type:

$ mkdir build
$ cd build
$ cmake ../
$ make
$ sudo make install

Help, type:
$ ais_rx.py --help

RX example, verbose level=3, decode also packets that fail CRC:
$ ais_rx.py --subdev=A:0 -V 3 -g 65
