Launching Supapasskeys locally with a local Supabase instance is complicated and error prone. It might be huge blocker to adopt Supapasskeys. Therefore a simple and easy way to launch a local environment is needed.

Solution

We will provide a simple Supapasskeys CLI, written in Rust. It will be used like this:

supapasskeys start

The command will do the following:

1. Read the local Supabase config.
2. Get the required information from Docker.
3. Pull the latest Supapasskeys image.
4. Start a supapasskeys container for the project and connect it to the correct network and port.
5. Trigger DB migration.
6. Create a project for the local Supabase project.
