Hi. This my personal repo I'm using to contain all my open source ideas. It serves as my justification to try out new ideas, but with an overengineered infrastructure and libraries to support scaling and doing things "my way".

If you're familiar with Django, this will be very similar. Unfortunately due to time constraints, I can't offer free support.

This is mostly open-sourced, but there is a separate private repo that handles all the deployments and the ML services. That was too hard to open-source without making my life too hard. But it's probably the easiest one to code - it only consists of a microservice and a web app hosting models.
I'll be releasing a huge writeup about how this was built on my blog.

What's Next

In the future, I'm expecting to move a lot of machine learning projects about health into this repo. In the upcoming month, as I move things over bit by bit, this will be home to

Development

To start a local web server

1) mkdir -p .envs/local && touch .django
2) Add some random env_varibles in there
3) Run docker-compose -f local.ym up
4) Profit

To install pre-commit hooks

# probably be on a virtualenv where calling python results in py3+

[Question] What financial algorithms specificaly?

I am writing https://wiki.openhumans.org/wiki/Finding_relations_between_variables_in_time_series and would like to add your app. Could you please tell me more about the financial algorithms betterself uses?

BetterSelf data input

I would like to use betterself.io, but am I supposed to input all data manually? I can see how it’s possible to automatically import any data, but how are you really using it then? Inputting sleep data manually every morning?

What Am I missing?

Hi,

I am a student at Lone Star College with a keen interest in LM. Yesterday I found your app - writeup.ai on producthunt and how flawlessly it works is truly impressive. Then I found you have made the source code public but here "https://github.com/jeffshek/writeup-frontend" it reads - Open Sourced Backend (Mostly).

Now, I am confused about what I will be missing if I try to replicate your app on my system. I don't intent to run 1.5B or your models but my custom model (334M trained on 100MB of NCBI dataset).

Also, I plan on running it on my PC. I have had success running both 334 and 774 models on my system with core i7 8th gen, 1060 6GB (Cuda supported) and 32gigs ram so I am confident my system should be able to handle this app too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Putting all projects in one GitHub project isn't a good idea.

Can't delete my account

I want to delete my account on app.betterself.io but I get an error when I try to do it.

UUID must be filled....

Please if you can't fix this issue, at least delete my account and the data related to it.
