Sounds like a potentially good idea, if there aren't any browser restrictions on the amount of data that can be uploaded. I think it would also be a good idea to revisit the disk management UI, to minimize control clutter. I recently updated the HDC (hard disk controller) component to piggy-back on the FDC's disk list/load/save controls when a CD-ROM is present, and a similar approach might also work for machines with a hard disk that wants load/save controls.
