Publish this application in various places.

Prerequisites:

• #4 (Upgrade assimp)
• #5 (Add assimp copyright info where needed)
• #10 (Multiple platform support)

ASAP. Check assimp licensing to find out requirements.

Currently the two different "Register" shortcuts can be used to set whether or not to prompt for output format.

I'd like that to be more accessible. Also with #8 planned there will be another operation to add.

Consider supporting cascaded context menus so multiple functions can be exposed without adding even more clutter to the shell menus.

Add to assimp and submit PR.

• Windows 32-bit (also consider mingw builds so vc redist install step can be removed and installation can be self-contained).
• Linux 32-bit + .deb
• Linus 64-bit + .deb
• Mac OS? Need to find my old PowerBook... 😂
• Consider making a webapp for people to use, too.

I don't know whether it is the problem of the program or the problem of the model. No 3D model has been successfully segmented

Turns out you need to release those. See assimp docs then fix all occurrences.

Normals, colors, materials, textures, etc. However, this is mostly intended as a 3D printing utility tool where such info is unnecessary.

Animated model support not planned, however. As well as a few other things.

Can currently be done, sort of, but would be nice if it produced an output file without the numbered naming scheme and without the components separated.

Many of assimp/assimp#3766 are fixed in newer releases.
