pmstockquote's Issues

"There is a problem with this formula."

Same problem using both 32-bit Excel 2016 or 32-bit Excel 365. No issue with installation or activation. PSQ added to list of functions; STOCK QUOTE tab works. But when used, ex., MSFT =PSQ(A1;"NAME"), Excel refuses to enter the formula and instead displays a dialog box showing this message. Re installation does not change this behavior. Thank you for your time and help.

Error retrieving data

Starting yesterday PMScotckQute stops getting data:

ERROR: Couldn't retrieve and/or process financial data from internet service. Internal message: The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden.

This is the error, anyone more that got this

Need to specify US exchange (NYSE or NASDAQ) with ticker

Of the 3215 ticker prices I pull for my spreadsheet, 2858 of them are US listed. Most of those successfully pulled a price without the exchange being included in the ticker code (i.e. =PSQ(A1) where A1=A) but 168 of them gave me "#N/A". After I specified the exchange (i.e. =PSQ(A1) where A1=NYSE:A) for those 168 securities (some NYSE, some NASDAQ) they successfully pulled a price. Many of these were large cap widely traded stocks. I could not see what made them unique to demand an exchange specification but it implies that to avoid headaches one should simply specify the exchange for all tickers whether US or not.

Error 503: Server Unavailable.

On January 2 I successfully used the API to pull 2 ticker prices from Google Finance but then when I tried again I got the message:

ERROR: Couldn't retrieve and process data from Google Finance service. Internal message: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable.

I tried over a period of about 2 hours in case it was a legitimate Google server issue but the API kept getting the same error.

Mutual fund request

Looks like mutual funds queries return different JSON data that isn't being correctly parsed. For example, MUTF:VTSAX is not able to be searched in the add on. If you manually generate the JSON data, it is missing the "symbol" and "exchange" that the deserializer is attempting to parse. Maybe this is easily corrected since that data does exist, just under different names, "t" and "e" in this case?

Would be really nice to pull mutual fund tickers as well since the Google API supports this. :)

Cannot always retrieve data

Most of the time, I get the error:
ERROR: Couldn't retrieve and process data from Google Finance service. Internal message: Unable to parse JSON (Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0,

Sometimes the data will be retrieved as though it is not waiting long enough for a response.

The search function never works and gives the same error in a pop-up.

I am using Excel 2013 32-bit on Windows 10 with current updates.

Currency is not working

I'm trying to fetch the EURO->USD exchange rate using EURUSD or CURRENCY:EURUSD but it doesn't work (result is N/A)

was looking for pmstockquote64.xll but now

I see the other issue opened and found the file. Now my question is does this still work for 2013? I found this via a youtube video for excel 2013. The pmstockquote.xll on the download page says 2018. Is there a 2013 version>

Unable to access Google Finance

Now getting the following error

ERROR: Couldn't retrieve and process data from Google Finance service. Internal message: Unable to parse JSON (Unexpected character encountered while parsing value: <. Path '', line 0, position 0.).
