What steps will reproduce the problem?
Probably because this is a preview version, but:
There are a few lingering menu references for the calculator application, for 
example when you assign a function to the volume buttons.

If it is assigned and then pressed it causes the reader to freeze requiring a 
paperclip reset.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Device: PRS-600 
Firmware: PRSP_600_2.0.3preview
Base image: PRSP_600_base_flasher_1.0_by_amutin

1. follow the installation procedure (runme.bat)

I've followed the installation instructions. After 2 hours, it keeps displaying 
that it is upgrating.
I the tried to stop, but the message didn't change.
If I'm doing a reset it display that the firmware update is incomplete. No way 
to get out of it.
How can I resolve this problem???

1. Set a standby background image which fills the screen when on vertical 
orientation
2. Change the device orientation to horizontal
3. Put the device in standby

The image should still fill the screen and have the same orientation as before; 
instead it is rotated and rescaled, which is generally ugly.

2. Leave it idle for a while

Expected result is that it would power off in about 5 mins. With PRS+ 1.1.3 it 
doesn't. (unknown, if it worked with previous versions)

Obviously enough I expected the installer to do something and report 
success

I get the "Your firmware version is not supported. If you install PRS+, 
your firmware will be overwritten with supported version. (backup will be 
made, so that you could restore it later)" message due to odd firmware 
version (obviously enough).

When attempting to do backup I get the same sans "Copying tools to /tmp... 
OK".

Congrats on your awesome work (I'm using a PRS-600) =)
I've thought of suggesting/asking a few things:
1. Is there a documentation of the code, explaining the structure and so on? 
I'd be glad to contribute a plugin, or so.
2. Would it be possible to modify the current PDF viewer to remember the zoom 
parameter when moving to the previous/next page? I realize it would be pretty 
hard, but it'd be awesome to have this (you know, on the prs 600 at least when 
you zoom in and then go to prev/next page, it zooms out).
3. It would be great also to have a way to save bookmarks/notes =) No idea how 
feasible this would be; I've tried browsing the prs storage, but couldn't 
really figure how annotations are stored.
4. Do you have know how the database is built, and where it is stored? There 
seem to be plenty of random XML files lying everywhere (I tried to browse 
calibre source, but I'm no python specialist...)...
5. Does the CSS custom styles function fix the fact that PRS 600 sometimes 
ignores the CSS "justify" attribute?
6. Would it be possible to change the default font used when opening .txt files 
(the monospaced one drives me crazy)?
7. Is there a simulator of some kind for  the PRS-600? (I guess not, but I'm 
not sure, so I figured I'd ask).

300 - * by author/title sorting doesn't work for non latin chars. (also affects 
600)

User reported that BrowseFolders is not showing some books, even though they 
are visible via Books By * menu.

2. Go to More->Settings
3. Check text on the bottom right of the "Page Turn Gesture" option

As far as I remember, it used to be an arrow pointing left or right depending 
on the setting. Now it is a glyph-missing square

As after installation a SD card should not be in the divice, it should be 
better to add a note text after installation and before restart of the 
device, that an SD card should be removed, to avoid starting an installer 
anew. 

Is there any possibility to improve the Epub support?

The biggest issues with it are (With PRS-300 and official firmware):

-No justification of right margin (sometimes even missing text)

-Page markers sometimes make collision with text, messing it up.

when i try your chinese font,which you recommended me .i find it make my 
battery time very short.just about 5hours.

300 - back/fordward history actions do not work. Next/prev page is fired 
instead.

raverfas @ the-ebook.org reported her reader not going into auto standby.

Very minor problem.  Instead of displaying the PRS+ version number on the About 
page, it says instead: "PRS+ n/a"

It will be helpful, though, for knowing that an update has occurred 
successfully.

It's possible to catch "wake up" event and update clock value.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Delete media.xml in cache folder on the device
2. Turn the device off and back on
3. Connect to the device with Calibre 0.6.55 (latest)
4. Calibre will say that it cannot connect to the device (media.xml is not
present)

There is typo in mainStorage.xml at line 95, it says 'undeifned' instead of
'undefined'

First of all, many thanks and congratulations for your excellent work. 

I have just one suggestion for prs-600. Is it possible to add an option to fix 
the "zoom in" so that the zoom size is kept when going to other page in the 
document? This option is already implemented in prs-650 and it would be very 
useful for 600, specially for reading scientific pdfs.

3. Set "Internal Memory Root Folder" to "/books" instead of "/"
4. Go to "Browse Folders"

2. The file will open but most of the accented characters will be missing.

I am attaching a couple of screenshots demonstrating the problem, and a epub 
containing all greek symbols and their unicode codes. Note that greek does not 
have '?' as a question mark so if it pops up something is wrong.

I got the list of characters from here: 
http://www.bible-researcher.com/greek-unicode.html but not all of them are used 
in modern greek. The ones that are, are in the epub.

Have tried to install the newest version of prs-plus, haven't installed 
any before, when press 4 to copy image from card i get an error message 
which states

Sorry, this firmware version is not supported:

505.1.2.00.18050

Is there anyway i can get this to install.

The video shows that you can add a picture that is displayed when you turn off 
the device, but I can not find this function.

I tried to translate the file from Italian into Spanish. Hope that helps.

first of all, a big thank you!
This is an enhancement request, but I am not able to change the issue type...
It would be nice, if there was an option in key bindings, to use the volume 
buttons to move back and forth in the history of a book. I had this in my good 
old prs505 and miss it terribly.

When using the 12 hour display on the 300 it looks like the format is too long, 
it'll display something like 08:...k.PM instead of the actual time. 24 hour 
format works fine.

Also, I don't know if this is intentional, but the regular option to change the 
clock format doesn't work, only the PRS+ options.

2. open a book with toc
3. open toc

It should show me the chapter/headlines/..., instead it is just empty.

[Sony Touch 600]

I didn't want the "Browse Folders" icon on the main page of my Sony Touch 600, 
but when I replaced it with one of the standard Sony icons, I discovered that 
the "Browse Folders" icon does not appear in the "More Applications" list.  Is 
it possible that it be added to the "More Applications" menu in this situation?

Actually, this will be true of all the PRS+ additional application icons: Book 
History, and in the future, Calculator, Games, etc...  If they are not on the 
main page, they should appear in the "More Applications" menu.

By the way, thanks for greatly improving the Sony Touch interface!
