boxy's Introduction

boxy - General purpose copycat Facebook dialog/overlay
	(c) 2008 Jason Frame ([email protected])
	Released under The MIT License.

== DESCRIPTION:

boxy continues my tradition of derivative jQuery plugins ending in the letter 'y'
(Actually, I was going to call it Facebox but another rascal beat me to it).

It's a general purpose dialog box with support for multiple visible instances,
drag'n'drop, size tweening, AJAX loading and automatic generation of
confirmation/question boxes. Designed with "applications" in mind, so there's
a pretty decent API for manipulating instances. No support as yet for Lightbox
style galleries but patches for this behaviour are most certainly welcome.

boxy's Issues

Test

just testing this.

Update styles to work with YUI base css

I often use a hybrid library, taking the base CSS from YUI (reset, fonts, base) and using jquery for scripting.

Boxy fits in almost nicely, but could use some tweaks:

  • Explicitly removing borders on table elements on boxy-wrapped elements

(All I've noticed to date but will update if I stumble across others).

Animates position isn't centered

I'm using your boxy framework here http://www.thenextfifty.tt/

when I click "submit your own" to open the dialog and "close" it then click to open it again the position keeps changing. repeating this process drives the dialog box out of view for which the html,. body is overhidden
