streamdeck-findertags's Introduction

Finder Tags plugin for Stream Deck

This Stream Deck plugin will let you add color labels to file(s) and folder(s) in the Finder.

Description

With this plugin installed, you can easily add/remove tags by pressing the color buttons on your Stream Deck. You can also choose to use the color wheel, which is a single button, so there is more space left on the Stream Deck. Furthermore you can create a button for assigning a custom tag, which you can give any label you want, and in addition to that you can give the custom tag a color too.

It's made for macOS only.

streamdeck-findertags's Issues

Applying tag with Finder Tags plugin does not display tag in Finder

This plugin has worked well for me for over a year now, but after updating my Mac to Monterey, tags are not displayed in Finder when the tag was applied using the Finder Tags Streamdeck plugin. Tags DO show when using the native UI right-click menu.

Using the Finder Tags plugin does seem to partially(?) apply the tag, as you can see a checkmark on the color that was chosen in the right-click menu and you can also see the color/tag name in the properties window that opens with Right-click -> Get Info
