I'm not the author of the laptop preset. To make it compatible with the older PulseEffects version, there are two ways:
- Load the preset on modern EasyEffects and take note of what plugins are loaded and with what settings, then replicate it with PulseEffects (easy)
- Manually inspect the JSON files and map the settings (more difficult)
Anyway I'm on Ubuntu 22.04 too but I installed PipeWire and EasyEffects, it's just plain better, so if you can I would advise to join the PipeWire gang xD
from easyeffects-presets.
