O TAG (Tecnologia de Apoio à Gestão) é uma tecnologia social baseada em um software de gestão gratuito e opensource –código aberto para que qualquer pessoa possa modificar e adaptar. Desenvolvido inicialmente pelo IPTI em parceria com a Prefeitura Municipal de Santa Luzia do Itanhy/SE essa tecnologia social atende à realidade de escolas de educação básica, com ênfase em escolas de áreas rurais.

Utilizando recursos como: sincronização de dados em escolas sem internet, software aberto, reaplicação entre as escolas e processo participativo continuo que envolve atores locais; essa tecnologia social visa democratizar o acesso a sistemas de gestão, que hoje só estão presentes em 30% das 250 mil escolas brasileiras.
