The releases on this repo are significantly out of date compared to the Google Play releases, and so the app is not truly open source.

Currently the Google Play store version is 1.5.34 (4) - updated 6th Feb 2024
The most recent Github release is v1.5.31 from Oct 17, 2023.
The most recent commits are ~2 months old (c. January 2024).

It would be nice if there would be a feature in the mobile version that automatically uploads my pictures I took and I don't have to select everything manually.

Much like the desktop sync app, the iOS photo sync does not work at all. Only one photo syncs an hour, if you leave the screen open, otherwise nothing is uploaded.

Right now, when I launch the app, I get greeted with the Internxt logo, and then just get a white screen. After maybe one minute, the app finally loads. Right now, this behavior is reproducible for me.

First of all, nice to see that you have issues enabled here (and sad that the other repos of internxt don't have).

Maybe these are two issues. But in general, the photo gallery and upload feature don't work reliably for me.

Photo gallery is either slow to display thumbnails etc. or displays the wrong thumbnails.

And the upload doesn't work in the background, apparently.

Would be great if internxt drive was available on F-Droid and the website for those of us looking to move away from Google services. Thanks!

The auto upload feature for photos is great. I would like to move selected photos into a drive folder. Would that be possible?

"Little code to open app": Will it be possible to add a "little code" of 4 numbers for example, just as another security control to access to the files in mobile (or even in desktop)

It seems that for pdf files, it is no caching the downloading file and then, it is downloading each time user wants to open that file.

It appears that the Android app doesn’t have SAF permissions. I notice when trying to open a file, all other cloud providers are shown except Internxt.

Hi, I recently tried to upload 15GB of folder, after 2.5 hours my upload stopped and I am unable to see how much I have uploaded in the folder? This just sucks, I don't even know if the files are fully uploaded or not, I need to manually calculate the files now. This is very bad drive guys. There is literally no option to see the total folder size I have uploaded currently

I am using the latest version of the mobile app.
Android 11 is the basic version of Android.

Hi there, I notice that the app uses randomBytes from react-native-crypto and from what I understand that is only pseudo-random.

Here are a couple of the locations I found:

And that react-native-randombytes is deprecated due to its pseudo-randomness:

And they recommend using react-native-get-random-values instead:

I'm wondering if I'm understanding this chain of dependence correctly, and if so, if it would be better to switch to react-native-get-random-values instead.

If I have this right, I may be able to submit a PR at some point.

https://f-droid.org is a catalog service for foss apps and a dedicated community for android apps. Are there any plans to release android app on fdroid ?

Today, I noticed that I needed to log in again to the app. Is this a wanted feature, or some bug?

I've just installed the App for iPhone and I don't see any option to check my backups.
Nor is that available on the Desktop app although there is a URL link opening a browser page.

Unable to select multiple files and move them to a new folder. No option for that.

Expected Result:
Able to move multiple files with the mobile app.

Version: Android 10 latest app.

Being open-sourced, inclusion on F-Droid app store would be a great addition, if not the main F-Droid repo then consider adding to IzzyOnDroid repo.
Personally I'd also like to see you consider completely removing the Google Trackers (Firebase Analytics, AdMob etc) or at least replacing with privacy respecting analytics trackers in future versions please.

APKs were briefly released alongside source code bundles pending F-Droid inclusion, but recent releases have dropped these. Please could you include APKs in GitHub releases again? This is especially important in the absence of an F-Droid listing.

Last release including an APK was v1.5.26 on March 20th, 2023

[Feature request] - ability to change email address in settings.

Hello! I have a problem with running the app from the source on android:
"No WRITEKEY Key provided. Check your envs"
As I assume I need to create .env file with the variables from .env.example. Is it correct?

It would be awesome if both the desktop & mobile apps had dark mode. That pure white is an eye strain magnet.

I can't figure out out to select all photos from the camera rolls.
Shouldn't this be made simpler with for a better UX?

Storage usage percentage is infinity

Dear Internxt Team!
I would like to report a bug I encountered.

Description:

For about 15-30 seconds after opening the Android Internxt app, "infinity % usage" is displayed, both in the Settings screen Storage button preview, and in the Storage Usage Bar.

Steps to reproduce:

1. Make sure the Internxt application is completely closed.
2. Open the Internxt application.
3. Tap the "Settings" icon.
4. Tap the "Storage" button.

Environment:

App version: Internxt v15.31(1)
OS: Android 13
Device: Samsung A22 (2021)

The thumbnails in the gallery are always repeating, so they seem to be wrong for me.

On my phone, both the icon and start screen logo have a visibly low resolution. Can this be improved for a higher quality experience?

When trying to delete an item in home view a message confirms that the item has been deleted, but the item is still there after it.

Typically, on Android, pressing the back button when on home screen of an app closes the app. This doesn't work here.
