Challenge Description

InterBTC is a 1:1 Bitcoin-backed asset, radically open and secured by insurance. As a user, you are guaranteed to redeem your BTC on Bitcoin, or you will be reimbursed in insurance collateral at a premium rate. InterBTC is hosted on Polkadot and will be connected to Ethereum, Cosmos and other ecosystems.

Liquiality is a non-custodial, multi-chain browser extension wallet for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other ecosystems. Trusted by 10,000+ users, Liquality is making DeFi more accessible for Bitcoin.

The Ask

The goal of this challenge is to integrate interBTC into the Liquiality wallet. Users must be able to mint and redeem interBTC directly via the browser extension interface. For this, you will need to create an integration Substrate-Liquality, Polkadot’s core SDK.

Judging Criteria

Submissions will be judged by the Interlay and Liquality teams, against the criteria outlined below:

• Add InterBTC as an asset to the Liquiality browser extension.
• Add a BTC <> InterBTC send/swap functionality (interBTC hosted on Polkadot)

The new interBTC functionality is equivalent to the existing BTC <> RootstockBTC integration. We recommend using the existing code as basis, especially in terms of UX.

Submission Requirements

1. PR to the Liquiality browser extension wallet (https://github.com/liquality/wallet) containing the features above.
2. Submissions should include a demo video, showcasing the BTC <> interBTC mint/redeem functionality.
