helm-charts-datascience's Introduction

Helm charts Datascience (Deprecated)

There are some news catalogs you must use with Onyxia :

This repository will be archived

This collection of Helm Charts is tailored for datascientists ! It is primarly designed to work with Onyxia but also works as a standalone Helm repository.
See the other repository (Helm charts) for infrastructure focused charts.

To use the repo on helm (version 3+) :

helm repo add inseefrlab-datascience https://inseefrlab.github.io/helm-charts-datascience

The repo is also browsable directly https://inseefrlab.github.io/helm-charts-datascience/index.yaml

Contributions are welcome, feel free to open issues or submit pull requests :)

helm-charts-datascience's Issues

[postgresql] Create a chart using a previous backup

We should be able to restore a previous backup to create a ready-to-use service. For instance, a fresh database is empty and we have to create objects.

Inputs to add:

  • an S3 bucket and their credentials

Steps:

  1. Create the PVC
  2. Start PostgreSQL in recovery mode as a batch
  3. Start PostgreSQL as a service

relecture description services version FR

Remove whitespaces from PVC size

PVC sizes do not allow whitespaces.
1 Gi is invalid for example.

Helm has a built-in fonction to strip whitespaces :
nospace
Remove all whitespace from a string.

nospace "hello w o r l d"
The above returns helloworld

We should use it

Errors when using the Spark History chart as a standalone

For my Kubernetes environment we are attempting to use the Spark History chart for installation but are getting the following error:

MountVolume.SetUp failed for volume "config-coresite" : configmap "default" not found

I assume this requires Onlyxia to be installed in the cluster before the Spark History chart is installed? Or am I missing a pre-step for installing the Helm chart?
