Ansible's AWS modules aren't as idempotent as they could be, especially with resources that need to be replaced on update. In particular, AMIs require tearing down the entire stack. An "update" capability could resolve this.

At a minimum, it must be able to update the AMI ID used. This would require creating a copy of the existing launch config with the new AMI ID, updating the ASG to use the new LC, then terminating any existing instances in the ASG with the old AMI ID.

The default key pair name (asgwebtest) ends up being used for all stacks, causing a conflict between envs. Tear down dev while prod lives and subsequent prod launches will fail due to no key.

The application load balancer allows for routing based on hostname and URL path information. This is a critical feature for systems like Artifactory, which depend on that ability to host Docker repositories. Since the ability to manage ALBs is included in the latest stable release of Ansible (2.4), we can safely add this feature here.
