Tables and things on them should be separate items. This is a much harder problem than it sounds like, because of a few short cuts I took early on to get things started. Oops.

Items have no concept of where they should appear, the images have to have enough alpha to lift them off the ground. This also means the area beneath them is clickable. Ideally, items should know something about their height so we won't need the alpha.
