I can't install v0.97 in a Samsung with Android 6. 0.1
V0.95 works

I have successfully downloaded and installed properly on my phone and it runs too. Issue is when I try to play a video app crashes.

Please add the latest version (0.96 for now) to F-Droid since the current one there is unusable on Android 7+. The fix was announced on May, 27 (see #17), while the version on F-Droid was last updated over a month prior to that (on Apr 8, 2017).

Is there a technical reason why the latest version is updated neither here in this repository, nor on F-Droid?

How could I play a list ? I add a list in it , but it only play first song , it couldn't turn to next. Thanks so much for help.

Don't know whether you've been aware of this. After API 11, tasks scheduled by AsyncTask.execute() will be executed on the same thread sequentially.
Within method setImageTitlezAuthor, AsyncTask.execute is used to get the image and the details from the internet. What about using executeOnExecutor to make them executed on multiple threads?

Can this App work with lower SDK to API 14 ?

I really like your app, however, is there anyway you could get rid of (or switch) from using Crashlytics and fabric.io??

I can't even build this app anymore due to fabrics.io requiring an account and even when I signed up for one, they never sent my confirmation email (tried several times)... I know that Crashlytics was also a blocker in getting your app into F-Droid repo...

Idk, I think Crashlytics & fabrics.io are very inconvenient to be using. Anyway, at least I still have more older builds, but it would have been nice to try and hack on the app a little.

These problems aside, great app, great idea!

Any possibility of using youtube api instead of the web?

I hate the fact the video start over on end, can you make an option to stop or beter yet play a similar on end.

Hello, is it possible to add an option to start to play the next video (the one you see on the right side on youtube from PC) automatically? Because when a video ends I have to choose manually the next video, but if I just wanna hear a song and let play the video chosen by youtube I can't. I hope I was clear (sorry). Thank you!

Default quality of video on my mobile phone is 480p (Android 5.1, FlymeOS 6), but when I change quality of video to 720p appear bug with changing frames in video, its blinking and size of frames become smaller and bigger.

Expected behavior

The account should remain there once signed in on mintube even after minimizing the app.

Actual behavior

After signing in to my account, I minimized the app and cleared it from recent apps, then I opened the app again and my account was logged out.

How to reproduce

Launch the app.
Click on the account icon.
Click on sign in.
Sign in to your account.
Now minimize the app.
Clear the app from recents.
Now open the app again.
Error occurs, you're signed out.

It's seem that we are not using the Youtube API key right? In that case, I am suggest that we need to make this great software work with youtube api key instead of using the web scrap, it's not compile with the youtube TOS.

You seem to be restricting the x position to
min(screenResolution.x, screenResolution.y)-floatingWindow.width
and the y position to
max(screenResolution.x, screenResolution.y)-floatingWindow.height
regardless of the device orientation since on my tablet only used in landscape mode I can move the video below the bottom of the screen but not even to the middle of the screen so It can't be dragged onto the X to close it.
If I force the tablet into portrait mode the floating window behaves as it should.

Thank you for sharing your awesome project. Your apk is woking fine. I am facing one issue video is not playing in dialog. To keep everything simple, I started playerservices in main activity's onCreate method but when video is playing I am getting an error if playback doesn't begin shortly try restarting your device. I searched it on statckoverflow but none solution worked. If you have any clue about this please help.

When i open any video in playlist always the first video open 😞😞

But I like mintube better, especially the 0.9.1 version, was thinking if you could make something similar for both versions, that would rock.

To clarifiy, that screen appears when you try to lockscreen your phone.

Title pretty much says it. The floating player works normally when I'm not logged in. As soon as I log in, all videos don't autoplay and return playback errors.

Expected behavior

The app should be able to playing videos that are added to watch later.

Actual behavior

The app is not able to playing videos that we have add to watch later. When we try to play videos of watch later the app Crashes and we are not able to watch them.

How to reproduce

• Launch the app

• Click on My account Icon left side of the app.

• Click on Watch later.

• Click on any video that you have added to watch later, App Crashes and you would be not able to watch it.

This app uses non-free crashlytics. Could you provide a gradle build flavor that does not require this or use free alternatives like acra for it?

Videos are expected to play as soon as they are been clicked on

Actual behavior

Instead, another list of videos appears without playing the clicked video

How to reproduce

To reproduce this, follow the steps below

1. Launch the application,
2. Allow the videos to load then click on any of the videos to play,
3. While waiting for the clicked video to play, another set of videos are displayed
4. Go back to step 2. This will keep happening non stop.

I was trying to build this project on my system and faced an error
Error:Cannot read packageName from app/src/main/AndroidManifest.xml
Upon further diving into the code, I realized that there was no AndroidManifest.xml in that location.

I use YouTube iframe player and another player (plyr - https://github.com/Selz/plyr). But it shows nothing (just a transparent/blank page) on the floating view. The normal webview just works normally.
It has no logs about that so I don't know what happens.
P/s: mintube can not run on Android 7 Nougat

Would you okay if I submitted this app to https://f-droid.org/? It's a FOSS android app repo, and I noticed mintube isn't available in it

This way, you can link users to the FDroid "store" instead of needing to host the apk on Google Drive :)
