At the moment, I use the preProcess feature of respec to get things done. This works, but it is ugly: the user has to do an additional step in his/her respecConfig, which is ugly.

I have tried to use, instead, the pubsubhub approach by adding a reference to the relevant functions for the "start-all" event. However, this resulted in some sort of a racing condition; sometimes the functions executed in time before the end of the respec process (I guess), and sometimes they did not.

Clearly, there is some "async" involved, but I am not sure how and what one has to do to prevent it. The code in the pubsubhub file does not refer to promises when executing the registered functions, and the start-all methods execute before any touch to promises. Unclear:-)
