Here is where the React JS codes are written. To install dependencies cd into the client directory and run:
npm install
The smart contract is written in the directory. cd outside the client and cd into the smart_contract direact and install the dependency:
npm install
Once the dependencies has been installed, cd out of the smart contract directory and into the client directory and start react by:
npm run dev

This project demonstrates a basic Hardhat use case. It comes with a sample contract, a test for that contract, a sample script that deploys that contract, and an example of a task implementation, which simply lists the available accounts.
