I also just experienced this.
A 304 KB zip file extracting endlessly - forced to stop at 150 GB. Tried opening with WinRaR as well as Windows Explorer, both say the single .txt file inside is corrupt. Will see if I can give more insight when I get to debug it (moving on for now).
