with the latest master release i got this error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method Icinga\Application\Modules\Module::provideHook() in /usr/local/icingaweb2/modules/pnp/run.php on line 3

This is because of your Icinga Web version, current master requires at least 2.1.0. Let me know if upgrading is not an option for you, 2.0.0 support would mean changing a single line in pnp.

oh sorry - upgraded now to 2.2.1.0 - plugin can now be activated.
But i have still no graph displayed

I think I have the fix, at least it fixed it for me, the pnp module still tries to look up config data in the pnp4nagios module's namespace. Associated pr is here.
