Hi @ichilton, thanks for the great chruby_install cookbook. It's perfect for simply installing and configuring chruby. I prefer your implementation over the other cookbooks out there basically for the reasons you describe in your README.

I also noticed in the README that you mention https://github.com/rosstimson/chef-ruby_install and that you use it in your own rubies cookbook https://github.com/ichilton/chef_rubies which you hope to eventually improve so it installs gems etc.

I have nothing personally against your suggested cookbooks but I would highly recommend you take a look at https://github.com/tombruijn/chef-ruby-install and even consider using it in your README instead. It does a fantastic job of installing ruby-install and rubies as well as arbitrary gems. It even uses an install implementation very similar to what you use in this cookbook.

The reason I mention this is because I had a hard time finding the right combination of chruby & ruby-install cookbooks to accomplish what I wanted. Your chruby cookbook combined with tombruijn/chef-ruby-install is to me the best combination so I'm hoping you'll consider putting it in your README to help others find it too.
