• Import Chatbot
  1. Compress OnlineShopChatbot Directory as OnlineShopChatbot.zip
  2. Login to AWS console with a valid account
  3. Navigate to Services and search for Amazon Lex
  4. Click get started
  5. Under the bots section, click Action, Import
  6. Input file section:
     • Bot name: OnlineShopChatbot
     • Input file: OnlineShopChatbot.zip
     • Password: N/A
  7. IAM permission section:
     • Runtime role: Create a role with basic Amazon Lex permissions.
  8. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)
     • Is use of your bot subject to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)? No
  9. Idle session timeout
     • Session timeout: 5 minute(s)
  10. Advanced settings - optional: N/A
  11. Navigate to the Bots section, imported bot status should be Available.

• Create orders table
  1. Login to AWS console with a valid account
  2. Navigate to Services and search for DynamoDB
  3. Under Create Resources, Create table
  4. Table details
     • Table name: Orders
     • Partition key: OrderID with type String
  5. Create table, the status should be Active

• Import Lambda function
  1. Login to AWS console with a valid account
  2. Navigate to Services and search for Lambda
  3. Under Functions, Create function
  4. Author from scratch, since we are not authorized to perform serverless app repository
  5. Basic information
     • Function name: productinformation
     • Runtime: Python 3.9
     • Architecture: x86_64
     • Permissions -> Change default execution role: LabRole
  6. Code source
     • Copy / Paste lamda functions within AWSLambdaFunctions directory or compress lambda functions as zip and upload as code source
  7. Press Deploy

(AWS console) Amazon Lex -> Bots -> OnlineShopChatbot -> Aliases -> Alias item -> Languages -> English -> Lambda function :
