I am trying to publish my DAOD in to live deployment, I followed the instruction in the "example DAOD" but when I'm searching in "full text search" I get an error: "Server could not be found".
Do I have to export the DAOD project like the older versions?
After trying out the data load direct example I would like to create my own .xsd files and use them to upload custom entities to the database. In the given xsds they used tags and it got translated to Person items in Onyx.
My question would be how can I create my own custom schema, and how can I map it to an already existing entity type in Onyx.
For example I would like to define a new car type and if I'd make a sound and valid xsd file with a couple of car entities, the data load script could map these entities to the vehicle type entities in the system. The schema base / creation and the mapping are the key questions.

I am trying to implement custom Subset Exploration Service. So I am having a class called DataSubsetExplorationServiceDelegate which implements IExternalDataSubsetExplorationService.
However I am not able to register this class to i2analyze. I tried to insert following entry into
ApolloServerSettingsDaodMandatory.properties
IExternalDataSubsetExplorationService=com.cogniware.daod.DataSubsetExplorationServiceDelegate
However it looks, like this entry doesn't have any effect. What is the correct way to register the Subset Exploration Service?

I think I am misunderstanding "developer_essentials_deploying" steps for Analyze 4.1.3

I got stuck at step 8
8.- "Create a server in Eclipse that represents the awc application by repeating the steps above, and creating a server named awc."
I previously created a server named "i2analyze" so creating a new server with the same instance but named awc would create conflicts.
How do I create this new server named awc with no conflicts with server i2analyze created previously?
I haven't seen the option of a "Filtered getContext" like when expanding from the AR. I am in a situation where the second level of information (a getContext) would bring too much information about the entity. It would take around 15 - 40 minutes depending on how many entities are related to my selected entity.
I am trying to workaround this, by doing several DAODs which would mimic this behaviour. However in ANBP, when you chart an item sent from the Intelligence Portal, the Database Identifier only shows me the DAOD the item is comming from. When I search each DAOD for the same entity, and manually merge them in ANBP, I have the result I want, and I can select from which DAOD I want to expand.
I am looking for a way to have this merger automatically, or in other words, to have a single search, and expand to any of my DAODs.
How can I achieve this?
In the guide, it says to install Eclipse Kepler. But which version/package ?
When I look at the Eclipse page, it offers me 13 different options/packages.
Which one should we use ?

I am trying to implement the Audit Log function and have one question.
After enable the is....AuditEnabled(), is it necessary to use the companion log...() method the handle the log? Or the logDefault() already will receive the is....AuditEnabled() log if the companion log...() method is not overridden?

Hello guys, I am currently working in an i2 Analyze DAOD connector. I am trying to use the fields in the schema, in particular the "RetrievalBlock" in order to know where the data came from.
I am attaching an input file, the output (transformed XML), and the XSLT.
I get the following error:

But I can't seem to find out how to correct it. Please advise
Using the version 3.0.11 and DOAD, I made an basic exemple with my entities (The daod name/web context are "Sword_worldcheck"/dc3b3eca-67ab-4944-ab69-fdd641025519 as you can see in the log messages below). When an entity comes with a french accent in the word (my case is firstName=Anaïs" I've the error below. I put the persons inside data1.xml as the example given in the essantials SDK.
When I remoce the accent "Anais", all work fine.

I am developing the DLD example in IAP 3.0.9 but when i run the command:
da-setup.py -t generate-mapping-jar -x law-enforcement-schema.xml -o law-enforcement-schema.jar
The created jar is not showing the name of the entitys, links, propertys nor property groups, instead it show EntityX, LinkX, PropertyX, PropertyGroupX (the X changes for a different number for all elements).
How can i create the .jar with the real names?

Is it possible to have the tab link or submenu link open a external website for example www.ibm.com in the bottom body pane/frame or as a pop-up instead of the GitHub given hosted application project as it is registered with a data source id and external site wouldn't be.

I have generated the schema file by the requirement, and transformed excel file(the test source data) to the xml file that suitble for the iap. then i will revoke the interface of iap and insert the capable xml file into the Analysis Repository using the example (da-arload-filesystem-example), however, i don't know how to generate the xslt file compatible for my project(such as the dataToIap.xslt in the example). so i want to know, wheather it is generate by the tools provided by iap or edit it myself. can you show me how to do it?

We are using DAOD connectors to add data to the portal, in some of them, we use the implementation of the ExternalDataContextResults functionality to retrieve several values for an entity. The problem is that there are too many resulting items so we have the need to filter them by a period of time (year, month, etc).
I have gone through the user interface extension project and I found that I can add elements to the GUI in order to generate some additional actions.
Therefore, I have two questions:
1.- I was wondering if there's a way in which I can add a selectList (instead of SimpleCommand) or I can embeed more options inside another one in order to ask the user for period of time he wants to be retrieved by the connector, let's say, something like this:
Moreover, I'm thinking on this approach because I can't see another way to prompt the user for the time period.
2.- I need to share the period selected by the user with the DAOD Connector so, once achieved the GUI goal, I would like to know what's the best approach to share this value with the Data Adapter Subset.
The best way I'm thinking about would be sharing an object through the file system as I don't know how to communicate the Intelligence Portal GUI with the VM.
I'm not too much into C# so I don't know the best way to achieve this.

I have a problem with implementation of the getContext function from the class that imeplements the IExternalDataItemRetrieverinterface and I was not able to find any solid example nor solution to my problem..
When I fetch the link between entities using fulltext search and visualize it, it work fine. But when I try to call getContext function for one end of the link the response xml (exactly the same as from the fulltext search = 2 entites, 1 link) contains 2 valid entities and 1 valid link but portal says: "No items found".
Is there any sample, how the getContext function should create the response correctly and how should be the xml formed for example for the default law-enforcment-schema?

I am working with version 3.0.5.1 of IAP. I have built a DAOD that works in my dev-essentials environment. I have followed the instructions for "Going live" with the DAOD, and everything goes well until I try to start-all-applications again.

The team I am working with are implementing the dumbbellSearch method in a custom DAOD. From the searchNode, we are able to get the TypeId that corresponds to the entity we are performing our search. However this is just the Id (like "ET5").
I am looking for a way of getting what Entity is represented by ET5. I am looking for the best way to do this (without unpacking the schema.jar). There may be a different apptoach, however, looking through the APIs, I see that there is a way of getting the schema as an object (from a schemaResult), from there getting the ItemType list, and from there we can probably iterate and find ET5.
Is there a better way to do this?, could you provide an example that returns the Schema object?

I've been trying to fix the problem by many artifices (e.g putting apollo-client-1.0.1.1.jar in root path; declaring the apollo-client-1.0.1.1.jar in MAINFEST, etc.), but got no success yet. Could anyone please give me an idea how to solve this error?

The version of my iap is 3.0.11.0, when i do the convertion from data source to a form that is compatible with the iap following the document(data_acquisition_developer_guide). which as following picture.( i have defined a schema by myself)

I would like to know how to enable or disable certain DAODs from certain searches. For example, I have 3 DAODs, and I would like to only show 1 on the "FullTextSearch" box. I want specific ones in ANBP to showContext, and potentially a different list in different searches (like visual query and property search).
I understand this is done in the topology file, in the DataSource tag, where we have something like this:

Could you please provide the missing properties.
Where is the apollo-clientxxx.jar library please. I can't find it in the Developer Toolkit and it is not in IAP.

I implement a DAOD connected to my search engine.
I had implemented: dumbbellSearch (it works fine), networkSearch (it works fine), fullTextSearch (Ok too), search(ok) BUT when i click expand ... application gave me some probably "cached" data ????? and never go trought my method (I use Java remote debug to know or not my methods are invoked)

I am working at a client with version 3.0.5.1 of IAP. We have 2 environments: Dev-essentials & Production. We have created a DAOD that works fine in the Dev-essentials environment. When we follow the steps for "going live", it deployed succesfully. However When I perform a search I can see the correct XML generated (I print to the console the ELP XML), however in the portal I see "No results".
In the Dev environment, the exact same search generates the exact same XML, and I do see the result in the portal.
Any thoughts? What could be wrong?

When using manual data load in i2, one can define merge rules. When these conditions are met, the entities are merged together.
Can we define such conditions when loading data with the data loader java program? So for example there is an existing entity in the dataset, and when I'd load a new one with the same name, day of birth, and mother's name, etc. then it would automatically merge these two into the same entity.

My user has grants level of "UPDATE" and has both " Administrator" and "Admin Security Manager" role in WebSphere (Administrative user roles). I can load (createItems) and sync with no problems. However, when I try to purge the error above occurs.
How can we fix this problem? Have some of you had experienced this error and have any instruction to perform the purge successfully?

after each code modfication I want to test the result in IAP. The only means I have found so far is to do:
build -t deploy
which is quite long (1 min) and not convenient.
Is there a better way for code modifications to be taken into account ?

A datasource is added with a certain ID (that looks like a has), I was wondering if that can be customized to a more human readable string.
I am currently in a situation that will have a big number of DAODs, and for maintainabiliy reasons, I would liketo be able to identify them by reading the name.
I have found a couple of places where this id is being used (a datsource.properties file, the topology). When I deploy, and manually change these values, I have the behaviiour I want, however those are several manual changes each time I run the deploy commands.
Are there specific files that I should change? (The datasource,properties is an autogenerated file, but I can'find where it is gets its data from)

Dear community, maybe someone has an example/sample to share from real working default IAP schema DAOD connector?
lest say, that one table has persons (ID and person name, family name) another has Vehicles (number plate, manufacture date), and 3rd - links between (PersonID, Vehiclenumber plate).
Such example, with clear working search by number plate, and expand from Number plate, would be a great example how to make it work. And it could relate very clearly how to go from iBridge to IAP DAOD.
As now barrier for new specialists is very high, when examples are very specialised, and missing real world samples, of sources implementation.
From what I was talking in User Conference in DC this September, there are POCs being run where such connectors are demonstrated, so they should exist, right? :)

Following the above problem, i have conveyed the source data into the xml data imitating the code in the da-example-common project (using the JAXB), however, i find that the data load method in the example using the -load parameter needs two parameters (one is the xml data that i have , another is the xslt file just like dataToiap.xslt ) to work , you telled me if have conveyed the data then i don't need the xslt file. but the load data method must need these two parameters. so i failded to insert the data into the iap. i get confused about it. (i have used the newest sdk and my iap version also the newest) .

I've successfully deployed the SDK following the brilliant guide provided here. But after importing the sample projects into Eclipse (Oxygen) building the "master"-project fails because of missing jars:

The ItemTypeIdList passed to the search method of IExternalDataAdapter holds the EntityType.Id but I would need to know, that it is "Person" object to be able to query external system...
