Issue with selector: "*" about node-html-to-text HOT 2 CLOSED

* selector is the least specific one. Unlike in CSS, html-to-text can't combine different (non-equivalent) selectors, so * won't work for brs - it is essentially a fallback for unknown tags - those without any default formatter specified.
In order to select a br tag - it has to be br selector or anything with higher specificity.

walk(elem.children, builder); doesn't represent any default behavior. You'd need builder.options.formatters['lineBreak'] for brs.

You also don't really need a custom formatter if the condition on ancestor tags can be expressed as a combination of supported selectors.

• br tag directly inside div - use the intended formatter;
• any other br tag - skip.
