I just tried it with this bibliography file. It did not seem to be able to parse it and I got the message "Your entry is incorrect, check one of the following, undefined line 1:
true" which was not very helpful.
When a file or entry is all correct, both index and editor routes freeze.

These files are no longer necessary
It would be great if the tool could automatically find and recommend missing fields on the references.
However, the key point is how can we find these references.
On a first look, it seems to be hard since we do not have free, and reliable, sources on the internet.
This may require a deep investigation.
When a required attribute is absent from the entry, insert the content as MISSING, instead of XX and check it when is normalized.
Use a highlight as red, instead of green, for every normalization to cause attention as an issue, not a correctness
Nothing happens with a drag-drop-file action on Mozilla Firefox, neither choosing a file using the "upload a bibtex file" button
Example:
booktitle = { VII Brazilian Conference on Software: Theory and Practice ({CBSoft}, Tools Track) },
In "index" route,
when a user uploads same file for a second time, no message is shown.
This may be caused by "onchange" property from input file tag (templates/index.hbs).
When a .bib file is uploaded, there are no warnings nor messages about invalid bib description.
Users need to access "Configuration" page to default config be save.
TIP: this must be handled in the cookie service, not on a route.
Auto-format this:
@article{lage2011utilizaccao,
title = { Utilização do software NVivo em pesquisa qualitativa: uma experiência em EaD },
author = { Maria Campos Lage },
journal = { Educação Temática Digital },
volume = { 12 },
pages = { 198 },
year = { 2011 },
number = { 3 }
}
Into this:
@article{lage2011utilizaccao,
title = { Utiliza{\c{c}}{\~a}o do software NVivo em pesquisa qualitativa: uma experi{\^e}ncia em EaD },
author = { Maria Campos Lage },
journal = { Educa{\c{c}}{\~a}o Tem{\'a}tica Digital },
volume = { 12 },
pages = { 198 },
year = { 2011 },
number = { 3 }
}
Error messages are used in controllers/index.js and controllers/editor.js
When proper names are applied in the end of auto-formatted attribute, an extra '}' is absent.
Hi,
See this entry:
@inproceedings{washburn2016went,
title={What went right and what went wrong: an analysis of 155 postmortems from game development},
author={Washburn Jr, Michael and Sathiyanarayanan, Pavithra and Nagappan, Meiyappan and Zimmermann, Thomas and Bird, Christian},
booktitle={38th International Conference on Software Engineering Companion (ICSE)},
pages={280--289},
year={2016}
}
it was formatted to:
@inproceedings{washburn2016went,
title = { What went right and what went wrong: an analysis of 155 postmortems from game development },
author = { Michael Jr and Pavithra Sathiyanarayanan and Meiyappan Nagappan and Thomas Zimmermann and Christian Bird },
booktitle = { 38th International Conference on Software Engineering Companion (ICSE) },
pages = { 280--289 },
year = { 2016 }
}
Make the user decide which of the entries must have the specific attributes
Original file:
@inproceedings{baxter06,
author ={Gareth Baxter and Marcus Frean and James Noble and Mark Rickerby and Hayden Smith and Matt Visser and Hayden Melton and Ewan Tempero},
title = {Understanding the shape of {Java} software},
booktitle = {21st Conference on Object-Oriented Programming, Systems, Languages, and Applications (OOPSLA)},
pages = {397--412},
year = {2006}
}
After normalization:
@inproceedings{baxter06,
author = { MISSING },
title = { MISSING },
booktitle = { MISSING },
year = { MISSING }
}
Upload a bib file with random text or using the editor gives me no answer, redirecting to index page.
It happens the same when there is no text.
Is it possible? If so, keep "bibtex-normalizer.bib" as a default name for references
Mark/alert about duplicate keys on bibtex
Hi Professor Hudson, I ran the normalizer for my BibTeX file and no message was displayed. I compared the text on the platform with my previous one and no changes were made. This is the screenshot of the browser console.
Maybe the problem is the size of my bib (~100KB)
This just got posed to reddit here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LaTeX/comments/6jub99/bibtexnormalizer_normalizing_bibtex_entries_to_a/
Yet I have very little idea what this project is or what it's goals are.
The README doesn't really say.
In configuration route, let the aSERG standard as a default config
It is said that that putting a comma after last attribute from a bibtex-entry cannot be compiled.
A suggestion by Hudson in order to improve software quality.
Check ember testing reference: https://guides.emberjs.com/v1.10.0/testing/ and "tests" folder
Example:
@comment{jabref-meta: databaseType:biblatex;}
Substitute textarea tag for something fancier (try searching for some bower-based framework).
If you change from any router to 'config', optional attributes are shown unchecked.
However, if you press F5, the check-boxes are marked based on cookie info.
