I want to write something similar to you (a wrapper) but in nodejs. The idea being to make a nodejs based API supporting sockets.

Actually I, like you, would rather access the api directly (which I can in node) than make a cli wapper.

So have they done that? I looked around for some kind of rdiff api documentation but I found nothing like I am used to finding for an API which makes me think there really is nothing.

So what is your take on latest commits of rdiff and some documented public api?

If nothing is forthcoming I guess I'll start with a wrapper and thus I appreciate what you have done in Perl as I can adapt that.
