I have no words.

Okay so basically WallaceShark had an event on and used the expensive shuttle (Luxury Shuttle) - A crew member then changed it to (Asteroid With Engines Strapped To It) this was then changed back to the Luxury Shuttle but the shuttle still landed in the wrong place. 10/10.

Dufflebag Encumbrance

Dufflebags have been and should continue to be a cosmetic choice. In prior versions of Hippie Station, they have been used just like any satchel or backpack. This needs to return, as Encumbrance of dufflebags is shitty as fuck, to put it unprofessionally.

Some argue, "WELL THEY HAVE EXTRA SPACE SO THEY SHOULD HAVE A TRADE OFF"

My counter argument is, "Well then remove the extra space." Or don't. If you want to keep it and have that esoteric bit of knowledge that dufflebags are the definitive bag of choice, go ahead.

Well I noticed there were like two rounds where we had a round start traitor as a captain. I checked the code and it looked right the only thing that it could possibly be is the config. Is the config files on the git the ones used for the actual server?

I think you need to uncomment #PROTECT_ROLES_FROM_ANTAGONIST so loyalty implanted people don't end up as most antagonist.

Objects cannot be removed from pocket objects

/obj/item/weapon/storage/internal/pocket

Objects can be placed into them, but not removed

For example: shoes, butts, etc.

Find this in code/game/objects/items/weapons/storage/internal.dm

.dme file not the same as directory name, so safety checks on running .dmb

the .dme is still called tgstation.dme so it compiles into tgstation.dmb. if the dmb file isn't the same as the directory name (in this case hippiestation13-rebase) then safety checks happen when it runs, so you get spammed with >100 pop-up windows asking you whether each file is safe to run when you want to test your code.

renaming the .dme file seems to fix it without issue.

the "build your own shuttle" leaves you behind if you're unbuckled

i was scrambling to find a seat, didn't get one in time, so it disappeared and left me in space outside of escape. i was definitely on a floor tile, and none of the tiles failed to be picked up.

also this probably only a cosmetic issue but the tiles are picked up in sections when the shuttle leaves instead of all at once like with pre-built shuttles

Missing Things From Pre-ReRebase

Anyways, here's just some things from before rebase that were nerfed or removed.

  1. Missing Hairstyles and Facial Hair, such as that giant Mohawk, Fastline, etc., and beards like Moonshiner.
  2. Sprayed water (possibly other things too) disappear after like 10 seconds, a lot faster than before so doubling or even tripling that timer would be so much better.
  3. The function to alt + click cable wire to make cable cuffs was removed.
  4. There was a timer added to applying bruise packs, ointments, patches, and probably other stuff, on yourself, which is annoying.
  5. The time to deconstruct walls/windows takes probably four times longer than before.
  6. Here's some other stuff that doesn't particularly bother me, but I have noticed or other players I've heard point out: When you start charging a gun in a charger, it begins with the charger flashing yellow as if it was finished charging; players can't/have been unable to be set on fire; flashing doesn't seem to stun people when clicked on, although I never tested it personally; you can't alt + click a bag to look inside. Edit: Also, oxygen tank doesn't gib when you suicide with it in hand, just mutilates your body.

Add a "super electronic magnetic device"

A super emag would be able to emag a massive amount of things compared to the regular emag, but costs 16 TC.

-Emagging vendors also hacks them along with unlocking their access
-Emagging a crew monitoring console or a handheld version shows the location of every crewmember, ignoring the jumpsuit's sensor settings. Does not work on jumpsuits with no actual sensors.
-Emagging a recharger/Mech recharger/robot recharger causes them to drain power cells instead of recharging.
-Emagging the security console can show camera view from every single existing camera, including Centcomm cameras
-Emagging the security records console sets everyone on wanted automatically
-Emagging a medical records console sets everyone to "insane" (it may or may not affect bots, actually)
-Emagging a food processor allows it to function as a gibber that can gib humans
-Emagging energy weapons overloads them, causing to explode after a short amount of time
-Emagging an explosive makes it blow up instantly
-Emagging an ID console allows it to grant Syndicate access. Can be reset.
-Emagging a station-bounced radio allows it to make every voice going through it to be in big text, as if using the high-volume function on a command headset
-Emagging station alert consoles makes them automatically end every alarm, but cannot be emagged again for 30 seconds
-Emagging the stock exchange computer allows for more favorable or unfavorable outcomes (comes with a setting). Space magic indeed.
-Emagging a PDA painter allows for a blood-red syndicate PDA skin
-Emagging a flash allows you to AoE stun with them or pass through eye protections if used individually, but can be used only once in this state.
-Emagging mindshield implants turns them into greater mindslave implants. Way to save up on costs!
-Emagging a teleporter beacon makes all teleports redirect to it for a short amount of time, including random hand-tele teleports and reactive armor teleports.
-Emagging a suit storage unit causes it to explode upon next use. Useful for gibbing bodies.
-Emagging a chem master allows unrestricted amount of units into patches or pills.
-Emagging a changeling sting causes the person to experience any of the effects of an actual changeling's sting excluding transformation. You can get dull armblade'd, cryostinged, and more!
-Emagging an all-in-one grinder makes it able to grind any object. Resulting chemical is named into "Unknown Sludge", slightly toxic.
-Emagging an ice cream vat poisons the ice creams.
-Emagging a food cart injects 10 units of a random poison (including nanites) into the food stuff.
-Emagging a camera allows it to function as a flash if used close on a person
-Emagging a crematorium causes plasma and fire to vent from it upon use.
-Emagging a morgue locks it and always makes it show up as red, despite the actual status of the victims. Can only be unlocked from the outside or after a 30 second duration
-Emagging a tachyon-doppler array causes it to produce explosive sounds and send over the reports on radio. Useful for confusion.
-Emagging a cloning console (not the cloner) causes the cloned people to have random disabilities.
-Emagging a cryo cell will mess up with the interface, causing health to be registered as damage and the inserted beakers to be shown as random poisons.
-Emagging a teleporter console will always make it remain uncalibrated. "Why is the Captain a fly?"
-Emagging a gravity generator imposes a slowdown on everyone by increasing gravity. Can be reset.
-Emagging a pAI allows for additional syndicate functions, like drug-injections, acting as a flash, and making door hacks 20x faster and silent.
-Emagging a slime management console can allow slimes to be placed outside of Xenobiology. Now you can laugh maniacally
-Emagging a bag of holding causes it to turn unstable, allowing it to carry an actual infinite amount of items of any size, but will turn into a singuloth after a minute
-Emagging a chainsword (even the sacred one) causes it to have an almost guaranteed chance to delimb and bypass armor, but it causes a massively loud sound and the victim to emote a scream
-Emagging a hardsuit, either on yourself or on another person, causes it to be permanently stuck, only being able to be taken off via surgery or massive damage
-Emagging a spell wand causes it to be self-recharging (Pretty much cannot be done outside of admin intervention or real fucky round-type conversion, or traitor minering)
-Emagging a spell book causes it to turn into another type of spellbook, but only once. Heretics beware, the chaplain has fireball.

Random Ruin: 'Vault' is off the blacklist

a giant meme ruin that literally has 100+ faithless; that is way too jarring on the Master Controller for virtually no purpose. We had it on the blacklist in our previous version of the rebase.

not enough opportunities to become an ash walker

there's what, like one necrophiliac tendril each round that by default spawns three eggs? and if the people playing those three characters don't manage to find new bodies (and it's very easy to die on lavaland, especially with the shitty equipment ash walkers have access to) to drag to it without dying that's it?

Catbans still does not work

Catbanned a guy but it doesn't turn him into a cat the next round. It only forces him to be an assistant but he can still roll antag.

cryo is garbo

  1. you can't turn it on yourself anymore
  2. if you jump in hoping it'll turn on automatically you can't just jump out, you have to wait 30 secs to eject
  3. cryo tube doors can be set to manual operation for some dumb reason (and that seems to be the default setting) meaning when cryo is finished you aren't automatically ejected. either someone has to open the door for you, or you have to wait to wake up and then go through the manual ejection sequence.

i don't know why /tg/ did this. they seem to have had a war on medbay for years, making it tedious and needlessly complicated.

Races Not Selectable in Setup Character

It seems that hippie race code is neither ported nor available at character start. I'm getting a lot of complaints from players about not being able to skeleton and moth.

Can we port those in soon?

Remove true darkness

We removed true darkness and just had it at like 90% alpha I think, check old icon

Longer vox cooldown

Maybe 60 seconds, also a limit on how long it can be so I don't have to listen to it talk shit for an hour

Toggle CTF in Server options

It'd be really nice to have a verb for enabling CTF for admins. It's currently buried in secrets. Useful for end of round admin stuff.

everything in space turning invisible

first noticed this on centcom when i was picked as ert (and later deathsquad). everything was invisible (all i saw was space) until i was brought to the station by an admin. interestingly, this didn't happen while observing. only while playing a mob.

at first i assumed it was a feature where player mobs can't see centcom presumably to prevent people glitching into it and stealing things. but then i encountered it again while entering the shitty area of the luxury shuttle in escape at the end of a different round.

i'm running BYOND 510 because I was having unrelated problems with 511.

game window going out of focus while using xenobio slime management console

when i hover over or click the buttons that appear at the top of the screen while using the xenobio slime management console, it causes my game window to repeatedly go out of focus

this means i have to stop and click to make it respond to my keyboard, only for it to immediately go back out of focus again

edit: actually it seems to be a general issue with the buttons at the top of the screen

edit3: downgrading to BYOND 510 and restarting to get rid of all those inexplicable dreamseeker processes fixed it

Add scream sounds

And reindex_screams and specific sounds for races and add o2 damage from screaming

Genetics in New TG Sucks

Although I feel that Genetics was overpowered I think with the new rebase to updated TG it has been hit with quite a nerf. Now the powers that are discovered (which sometimes takes entire rounds to find) only last for about 2 minutes after injection. So now Geneticists cant actually use the powers effectively but also dont have access to the rest of medbay (so they cant save people) and they dont have access to Science (cant research). In my personal opinion, if this time restriction for powers remains, genetics should at least get some extra access to compensate for the nerf.
