Third Party Libraries Page?

I think it'd be helpful to maintain a list of helpful 3rd party libraries for specific functionalities (eg not core front-end technologies like React). Thoughts? And where should it go? Maybe a new "Third Party" folder under "Front End"? Happy to create the PR.

Thought of this because I was pointed to a third-party clustering library for 4.4 ArcGIS js api that other people may appreciate until functionality is added to the core api and I'm not sure where to put it.

Compile ArcGIS API for JS (3.XX or 4.X)

Hi, where I work we have a few developments with ArcGIS API JS 3.XX and now we are working on a new API 4.X.

These are not pure HTML + JS developments, but solutions .NET (either ASP.NET or MVC) with JS client code using the ArcGIS APIs.

We are currently referencing API scripts to the ESRI CDN, but we have been wanting to compile sources and serve APIs from our servers for some time now, and refer projects to our url's.

In this way, if we have to personalize something, we would have it centralized, and if we have to make changes we would only do them once for all the projects.

We have found the following information:

But we don't even know where to start, because what counts is how to include the api in your solution, when what we need is to compile it once to serve it from our machines.

Is there information or could you provide it to us about how to do this?

If you simply mount one of these solutions and then extract the compiled API, which of these forms is the most appropriate?

Thanks a lot.

Greetings, Hector.

Browser extension for contributions

It would be nice to have a browser extension capable of opening an issue to this repo requesting to add a resource. The interface could show all the pages inside this repo and after selecting one it could show the headers so you can select one of them.

Idea from @ntkog :)

ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.X and ECMAScript 2015 (ES6)

Hi, in my organization we are working on a project for a web application where we are using JS API 4. X.

In a couple of talks given from ESRI Spain, we were told to use the benefits of ES6 with the ArcGIS API for JavaScript 4.

Among other things we were advised to use the promises, which seems very useful and a big improvement over API 3. XX.

But the fact is that when we enter the examples of API 4, we don't use the ES6 syntax (all examples are made with original AMD syntax), and looking for more information on the web, the most we have found is this page http://odoe.net/blog/use-es2015-with-arcgis-api-for-javascript/ of Rene Rubalcava, which is no small but we would like to have more.

So we ask you if you can give us information or link's pages where there are examples, best practisses... And it would be a great advance if the API Reference code examples were written with ES6, or if there were examples with the two syntax alternatives.

Thank you very much.

Regards, Héctor.

New resource page for transit

I would like to have a new resource page about this. Should we ask the experts to check if they can help us with this?.

We could start adding the resource page template to the repo to start drafting this page.

I think this page would be located inside transit section. Alternatively, public transit, public transportation, public transport. Those all mean the same thing and are all commonly used.

You can add Melinda Morang as an "expert" under this section.

Cheers!

Broken link

At this page I have found the link https://givingpledge.org/pdf/pledge-letters/Dangermond_Letter.pdf is broken, this is the right one: https://givingpledge.org/Pledger.aspx?id=186.
