fac's Introduction

fac

The fast aiger checker is a tool developed for the course "Software Model Checking" @ TU Vienna in 2013.

Installation

You need a recent (7.* should suffice) copy of the glorious haskell compiler (GHC) to compile this. If you also have cabal installed, you can simply install the program by typing:

cabal install

If not, you have to use these three commands:

runghc Setup.hs configure
runghc Setup.hs build
runghc Setup.hs install

Running

Right now, fac supports only bounded model checking of aiger files. This functionality is invoked by executing:

fac <FILE>.aag <N>

where FILE is a aiger file in text-format and N is the unrollment bound.

Issues

Right now, the program doesn't work with gcc-4.5, as explained in issue #1. A workaround is to provide cabal with the flag "BrokenGCC":
```
cabal install -fBrokenGCC
```
Or
```
runghc Setup.hs configure -fBrokenGCC
```

Breaks with gcc-4.5

As discussed on the minisat mailing-list, there is an issue with gcc version 4.5, which applies optimizations which break assumptions in the minisat code.
The solution would be to check for gcc-4.5 and add -fno-tree-pre to the compiler options in that case.
