hextags's Issues

TAGS does not apply to players with privileges

Describe the bug
After the last updates of the CSGO I have been finding a problem in the plugin.

The players that have privileges and should receive the TAGS does not receive and neither the privileges they have access, I even found it strange.

Example, I configured the plugin to apply the TAGS by ADMINS Group, in the case I use SourceBans ++, it takes the group there and applies the TAGS, but all TAGS that I configured do not show, it only displays the default TAG that I configured to put in players that have no privileges. There are moments that he even put the TAGS in the players with privileges, but when he changes of map already leaves again.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Send the plugin to the required servers and plugins;
  2. Configure the TAGS by groups of Admins, eg: @admins, @vips;

Expected behavior
A clear and concise description of what you expected to happen.

Hidden Tags by default

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Since commit 31f5c5c there is possibility to save hidden tags in clientprefs.

Describe the solution you'd like
It would be nice if there would be convars to hide tags by default (Something like enabling only when needed - etc admin on duty have tags only).
Also maybe some kind of control who can have hidden by default? In my case I would need everyone who has e flag (ADMFLAG_UNBAN)
Also I haven't tried yet sm_toggletags but does it failover to something or completely removes everything? For example I would love that it would take default player tag if it's not doing that.

Add TAGS & Colors option players can choose from

It would be interesting to put an option where the player can choose which TAG and Chat & TAG color they would like to use, something like this plugin: https://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?t=299733

Even making it compatible with HexTags would be interesting.

That is, if the player wanted to use a TAG other than the ones that are set by default in HexTags, they typed !tags and opened a menu with the tags configured on it, and even to choose the color they want.

Tags Restarting

Hi! I have issue with HexTags.
At round start it automatically restart tags
to if i use /toggletags
then next round
i have back my tag
or players have their clantag
it gets removed after round.

Any help?

Change in RankMe Version format

Instead of having RankMe Tag to show real rank in Chat and Score Board. One of my friend actually modified the plugin but has some real bug with RankMe . If you want i can share the private version with you to try.

"ScoreTag" [Head Admin][{country}][{rank}]
"ChatTag" [Head Admin][{country}][{rank}]
This basically shows in Score Tag and Chat Tag as [Head Admin][IN][Rank-20]

Problem with mostactive tags

Hi there !

Describe the bug
When i put an entry which use mostactive time, all player get the last entry of the hextags.cfg

To Reproduce

  1. Put any tags with a mostactive time
  2. Put any other tag at the last position
  3. Everybody get the last position tag

Colors not working

Hi,

I was wondering if i could get some help because the colors aren't working on my L4D2 server.

TAGS

Hello i wanna ask how to make tag for counter terrorist? If terrorist are like this :

"Terrorist" //Terrorist -> Only players in the terrorist team will have these tags.
{
	"ScoreTag" "[Terrorist]" //The scoreboard-tag
	"Force"	"0" //Don't force the tag
}

then ct will look how?

"??????"
{
	"ScoreTag" "[Counter Terrorist]" //The scoreboard-tag
	"Force"	"0" //Don't force the tag
}

Add chain support

Example config:
hextags.cfg

"HexTags"
{
	"Default" //All player will have this tags
	{
		"ScoreTag" "[Player]" //The scoreboard-tag
	}
	"@Admin"
	{
		"ScoreTag" "[Admin]" //The scoreboard-tag
		"ChatTag"	"{red}[Admin]" //The chat-tag
	}
	"CT"
	{
		"ChatColor" "{default}" //The chat color
		"NameColor" "{blue}" //The name color
	}
	"Terrorist"
	{
		"ChatColor" "{default}" //The chat color
		"NameColor" "{red}" //The name color
	}
	"Spectator"
	{
		"ChatColor" "{default}" //The chat color
		"NameColor" "{purple}" //The name color
	}
}

When a simple player for T, then he will be like this:
[Player] in scoreboard-tag and {red}{NICK}:{default}{TEXT} in chat

Or when admin for CT, then he will be like this:
[Admin] in scoreboard-tag and {red}[Admin]{blue}{NICK}:{default}{TEXT} in chat

I hope you understand what I wanted to convey to you. :3

Add color tag

Hey
Is it possible for you to add the tag color options for chat

[Feature Request] Add RankMe Tag Support on Rank based

Currently the system we have is on Point based we can give people tag but the thing is Points are dynamic and getting lot of changes and cannot define top people. For eg. today 1 person has 1000 Points and he is in Top 10 so i defined !1000 which will give him Tag like i defined as 1000 . Now after 10 days of game play he has reached 2000 and the Top 10 category is more than 1900 Points and 80% has more points than 1000 which will keep on showing [TOP 10] tag for everyone. If we add Custom Tags based on Points which can be better.

hl_gangs support (replacement)

Due GitHub is more organized than discord, i want to suggest that i said before:

ScoreTag replacement when someone join in a gang. Let's think that i've the following ScoreTag (because i'm root)

"@Owner"
{
	"ScoreTag" "[OWNER]"
	"ChatTag"	"{red}[OWNER] "
	"ChatColor" "{grey}"
	"NameColor" "{green}"
}

If i create/join in a gang called (for example): TheBestOnes, the ScoreTag [OWNER] still there. What i want is that the owner scoretag should be replaced for {gang} or something like that.
Thanks

Unable to compile on 1.7.3 sourcemod

Chat-Processor compiles perfectly without any warnings or errors on Sourcemod 1.7.3

Could you please make it so this does too? The reason for the need to compile it is because the original release is using the latest (or one of the latest) sourcemod builds which utilize new Data types which simply old Sourcemod 1.7 does not. That causes the plugin to fail loading with the data type error

[SM] Plugin hextags.smx failed to load: Native "DataPack.Reset" was not found.

Chat-Processor had the same problem hence why I compiled it under 1.7 and now everything is a-okay!

Please fix this, as majority of competitive plugins in L4D2 are compiled under 1.7 or older! o7

Bug - HexTags_SetClientTag - Automatically changes color same as prefix

Hello,

I want to thank in advance for your plugin. Here I have a simple code:
HexTags_SetClientTag(client, ChatTag, "{green}[★FAST.RIP★] ");

If the prefix is not defined in the configuration, the player's name is colored the same as the prefix.

When I have permissions and have it included in the configuration:

"HexTags"
{
    "s"
    {
        "ChatTag"             "{green}[FAST.RIP Staff] "
    }
}

0005

When I have no permissions and everything is controlled by my script:

PrintToChat(client, "Tag byl vymazán.");
HexTags_SetClientTag(client, ChatTag, "{green}[★FAST.RIP★] ");

0006

Thanks for your fix.

SteamID Tag Not Working

Describe the bug
Adding tags by SteamID not working

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
Add your SteamID into hextags.cfg as a tag entry with any ChatTag

Example

"HexTags"
{

	"STEAM_0:1:11367919"
		{
    		    "ChatTag"     "Owner • "
		}

}

Steamgroup not showing for players

Describe the bug
When using hextags players that don't have a hextag cannot use their steamgroup tags, I'd also preferably like to have it so when players that do have a hextag use sm_toggletags that their steamgroup shows instead

Expected behavior
Players without a hextag would be able to show their steamgroup tags and those with a hextag would be able to toggle their hextag off and use their steamgroup instead

Specs manage to chat with live players from CT and TR teams

Describe the bug
I'm having a BUG on my servers, I do not know if it would be this plugin or the Chat-Processor it uses.

What would be in this case, the spec players can chat with the players that are in the CT or TR teams, even if they are alive, that is, that in competitive mode is horrible, since they use this to pass the positions of the players.

Is this some BUG of HexTags or Chat-Processor? I already tried to see it in the Chat-Processor and found nothing so I can fix it.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Install the HexTags;
  2. Install Chat-Processor;
  3. Just the spec players start writing that everyone can read even while they are alive.

Expected behavior
In case spec players can only talk to CT or TR team players if they are dead, alive they could not communicate.

Create an unequip function.

Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
It would be useful if there would be an unequip command. Like /removetag or /unequip.
As it currently forces players to wear it.

Describe the solution you'd like
That there would be an unequip function as it just would be helpful.

Describe alternatives you've considered
None.

After connection {country} tag (with fix)

After the connection you have "{country}" tag while the round not ends... I made a test with a fix and it works perfectly.

Just simply add to the code:

public void OnClientPutInServer(int client)
{
	LoadTags(client);

	//Update params
	char sIP[32];
	char sCountry[3];
	GetClientIP(client, sIP, sizeof(sIP));
	GeoipCode2(sIP, sCountry);
	ReplaceString(sTags[client][ScoreTag], sizeof(sTags[][]), "{country}", sCountry);

	if (strlen(sTags[client][ScoreTag]) > 0 && IsCS())
		CS_SetClientClanTag(client, sTags[client][ScoreTag]); //Instantly load the score-tag
}

Chat/name colors using Zephyrus store (Bara's version)

I'm using a zephyrus store remade by Bara (you can search his repos) and his chat/name colors works perfect, but if i'm using a custom color with hextags and if i wanna use custom colors via the store too, it doesnt work. For example:

"STEAM_1:1:xxxxxx"
{
	"Gang"
	{
		"ScoreTag" "[{gang}]"
		"ChatTag"	"{gold}[CONFIG] "
		"ChatColor" "{green}"
		"NameColor" "{orchid}"
	}

	"ScoreTag" "[CONFIGURADOR]"
	"ChatTag"	"{gold}[CONFIG] "
	"ChatColor" "{green}"
	"NameColor" "{orchid}"
}

Then if i wanna change my chat/name color using the store, it doesn't change, it keeps the custom colors assigned in hextags

Console error spam with Default Section

Basically if we use Default section in hextags.cfg and add other config for eg. i have used here "z" flag for the tag of owner of the server , if you join the server and if there is Default tag present as well as "z" flag it will keep on spamming console that
[hextags.smx] STEAMID was changed by an external plugin, forcing him back to the HexTags default one!

There are no other plugins that can modify my Tags as with the "z" flag and even i tried changing with different system of rankme . Gave myself 2000 points and kept a config of

"!2000"
{
   "ScoreTag"   "[Rank-{rmRank}|GN3]"
}

I still get the same error saying the above error. So it has something to do with condition checking with default section.

To Reproduce

In hextags.cfg

"HexTags"
{
	"z"
	{
	"ScoreTag" 	"[{country}][OWNER][Rank-{rmRank}]"
	"ChatTag"	"[{country}]{red}[OWNER]|[{green}Rank-{rmRank}][{lime}Points-{rmPoints}]"
	"ChatColor"	 "{blue}"
	"NameColor"	 "{darkred}"
	}

	"NameColor"	 "{teamcolor}"

Hello, until i installed this plugin and cp my gameme rank plugin doesnt print anything to chat (points, connect messages etc.)
Is there any fix for this?

New CVar

Add a new cvar: hextags_plugin_name, for overriding other plugins, beacause for example my Gang plugin is called with start legger: G and HexTags with H, when player join, round finish Gangs override HexTags, please add this cvar is very important!

Download the latest version of github repo and tried to compile it and than run it on the server with update version of players in old default section which is back. Players cache is still getting stored somewhere.

I did have a "z" flag first so i got the tag of "z" flag as [OWNER] mentioned in hextags.cfg but i removed myself from admins.cfg with no flags or other information, this means it should now pick up default section tags but instead it gave me console error everytime i connected to the server regarding changing back to hextags default one to [OWNER] tag . I had the following error logs in my logs files.

HexTags wipes scoreboard every round even with a config that doesn't define "ScoreTag"

"Chat-Processor" 2.2.1
"hextags" 1.50

TL;DR, I run a Multi1v1 Arena server and I used a "NoPrime" scoretag to indicate non-prime players, then due to player demand, I removed it from the HexTags config & now HexTags wipes the tags "Arena 1-16" on almost all players every-round.

"HexTags"
{
"b"
{
"NameColor" "{lightred}"
}

"NoPrime"
{
    "ScoreTag" "[F2P]"
}

}

Even after going back to a config that doesn't use "ScoreTag" at all the scoretags are wiped every round.

"HexTags"
{
"b"
{
"NameColor" "{lightred}"
}
}

I think this may be related to a cache issue? I can't wrap my head around why HexTags is wiping the scoreboard without a config that says to, I've tried reinstalling chat-processor and HexTags but to no avail...
