hello.dev's Issues

feature request -- restricting providers

This is far from a show stopper, but this is one of the scenarios I was hoping to implement. 1) restrict the providers on the hello side to github, gitlab. 2) get the full profile url, or repo name for which ever of the providers they picked.

A few possible typos on Feedback for “Hellō vs ____”

Missing "s" on support?

"Keyloak is a popular open source project written in Java that support all popular identity protocols including OAuth 2, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM, and LDAP."

Not sure about this one but it seems confusing.

"You no longer need to manage how the user linking their different accounts, or merging them."

I think you mean "use" in this sentence.

"In contrast, the user of passkeys is transparent to you if you use Hellō."

Feedback for “Next.js”

Hi!

I have been learning nextjs by following this tutorial:

https://nextjs.org/learn/dashboard-app/getting-started

After discovering the authentication chapter didn't work I found Hello could be a solution.

But I have minimal NextJS skills - while I can get the hello-test example working, I see how to integrate the hello login button.

When I include in sidenav.tsx file for example I get this error:

node_modules/@hellocoop/react/dist/provider.js (33:48) @ undefined
 ⨯ TypeError: (0 , react_1.createContext) is not a function

Google Search Console: Resolve Soft 404 on /error page

"A soft 404 error, on the other hand, occurs when the server sends a “200 OK” status for the web page, but Google mistakenly interprets the message to read that a 404 error should be displayed. Although it is a mistake on the search engine’s part, it usually happens when the page looks like an error."1

This makes sense as the Soft 404 happens on the /errors.html page and Google got confused (got 200 status code, but content looks to be an error).
