When you reach the moment where the game needs you to interact to proceed to the next text, you can use about any key you want.
It is confusing.

When you save, the game displays an empty background (white or black).
When you load this save, it loads the last image it loaded instead of the empty background.

For example, simple commands like lsp 0,":s/26,26,0;#ffffff`TEST",20,20 doesn't work, ThingsThatAreNoLongerLegal.txt is not clear enough to easily fix such a command.

When the text is displaying, sometimes it is too slow for the player, clicking should display the entire string that is being displayed.

When using, say, 'ONSlaught.exe -r 800 600 800 600', the only parameter that is saved is the internal resolution values.
For example, using this command to launch ;mode800 games works like a charm but when you then use the executable, it only loads the internal resolution previously typed because it is the only values that were saved.
This leads to bugs and forces the developer to distribute a script file that executes the command instead of using the executable directly, which can confuse players.
