Do you have a JSFiddle I can see with your current d4 code?

@yanofsky great thanks, this is an interesting problem please let me noodle on it for a bit. Is the data structure predefined or can i change that a bit?
from d4.
@heavysixer Great!
The structure can change, thanks

@yanofsky sure no worries, I am happy to help I am just slammed today with other work and can't check it right now in any meaningful way.

You were close, and it has given me thoughts on how I can improve d4, but essentially if you use a prepare function in the feature itself you can filter out only the data items you want. Let me know if you have questions.

Beat me to it!
Yours makes more sense, but here's how I went about it http://jsfiddle.net/q8azmuww/3/
Made me think that a use()
or renderif()
method on features might be useful e.g.
chart.using('lines', function(lines) {
lines.use(function(series){
return series.name == "Apples" || series.type == "line"
})
})
from d4.
Great glad you sorted it as well!
