I just updated type status and my music app won't open at all

The current implementation is getting really messy and wasn't really implemented in a wise way...

• Use a UIStatusBarForegroundView subclass with UIStatusBarItems instead of styling everything from scratch.
• Ensure the status bar state doesn't get broken by UI changes (device unlock, status bar show/hide, etc) - possibly queue them for after overlay disappears

Happens when the CPDistributedMessagingCenter is registered, due to there (apparently) being an existing MobileMail process in the background. Quickly patched to not register in Mail in 1.1b4a (1.1~beta-139).

I have an iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.2. After updating to the latest version of the Google app it started crashing on start up. I found the following post http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/websearch/3eGTCfIGVYk and used iCleaner Pro to disbale add-ons one by one until it started working. With all other add-ons enabled and TypeStatus disabled, the Google app worked. Enabling TypeStatus would cause it to crash. I am not sure why but figured I would let you know.

I just installed your latest version 1.1-1 and although i haven't had any freezes as of yet... i still have the SAME EXACT PROBLEM as before.

I am still un-able to send MMS Messages after installing this latest update! its strange bc it works one time then it locks up the MMS Messaging on iMessage using the default stock apple app. It doesn't show delivered status and the only way it will send is with SMS over traditional text through the cellular tower

I have been testing this app for 4 months and have been alerting you of this problem so you can have a perfect app...

the next version you release, can you please state in the release notes that the MMS over iMessage issue has been. fixed

I have been using your product since i heard about it. I LOVE IT and will gladly donate to your app once it's working.

I keep having to downgrade to the only stable version 1.1 BETA -79 which does not have the Caller ID names. So I don't have every number memorized and like the new features of the new version but am un able to use it.
Wondering why no one else has had this issue? I have emailed Adam about 3X about this issue on each new release that i have tried.

When receiving messages (iMessage tested) while currently viewing the thread, the phone freezes entirely, not allowing for any user input whatsoever. Have to force reboot the device to get it back in action. Doesn't seem to change regardless of "Hide in Messages" toggles.

Plan is to use XPC, assuming that it supports multiple servers with the same name, otherwise SpringBoard will notify_post("ws.hbang.typestatus/ShowOverlay");, which causes apps to grab the data from SpringBoard via XPC.

So this is apps like Messages, BiteSMS, Music, anything using Location Services.

My phone kept freezing in the messages app after I updated TypeStatus. It would usually freeze while typing a new text, the phone screen froze and didn't let me use any buttons. Eventually I would have to give it a hard reboot. However, in crash reporter, it didn't list any recent crashes. This happened about 5 times in one hour so I removed TypeStatus to see if it really was the problem. I have yet to experience any freezing again.

Can't reproduce, but some people say they've experienced this...

This happens when switching from a white status bar background to a black one (and visa versa). Image attached below of the issue.

When using tweaks such as BlurredMusicApp/Spectral TypeStatus uses the wrong text color. For example, if the status bar text is white, TypeStatus sometimes show black instead.

The hidden status bar override code is pending a rewrite anyway...

Need to work out a better way to detect this... -[IMChatRegistry account:chat:style:chatProperties:messageReceived:] and friends don't seem to be called for read receipts.

This is great tweak but it breaks sending iMessage pictures. They say delivered, but don't deliver. I've narrowed this down to typestatus as being the issue. The following must be done to replicate the issue. First let me me say that sending pictures through iMessage works fine until after installing this tweak..

1. Install typestatus. Send a few texts. iMessage pics say they are delivered and people get them UNTIL you do a "power cycle" after installing the tweak. Not just a reboot. A power cycle by holding down the home button and the top button on iPhone. After I do this, iMessage with pictures say delivered but recipient does not get them...

2. uninstall typestatus. Do respring. iMessages still don't send, but full power cycle fixes issue and iMessages send fine.

I've tested this 5-6 times. And the only way iMessage seems to see that typestatus is fully installed is by doing the full power cycle bit it breaks iMessage unless uninstalled the full power cycle is needed.

I love your app but if I install it and then need to power cycle, upon reboot iMessage no longer works. I've read about this issue on some forums as well but I did more testing to find this out with the power cycles. Can you fix???

If I unlock my device while someone is typing, than the status bar shows, while TypeStatus is trying to show. Quite odd looking and it will stay like that until they stop typing, which, when they start typing again, it will look normal. (image below if you need a reference, I also believe it happens in other places, I've had the bug suddenly appear in Safari before)

This is what happens when you don't have a test device, kids.

Assistive Touch disappears (which I'd assume is a crash in the daemons involved), and there have been some reports of high CPU (maybe repeated crashing?) of AppIndexer and IMDPersist.

(Possibly iOS 6 too; haven't tested.)

Reproduceable:
-Sending or receiving a text while playing music (pandora or music.app) causes a moment of stuttering in the music.

May be crazy:
-Sometimes loading a web page causes the same.
-(Pretty sure) One of my alarms this morning began with a stutter, so it's not just music apps (no music playing).

I've loved TypeStatus and have been following its betas but i have to keep it uninstalled due to this problem, as i'm a huge music listen to-er.

Icon will stick in status bar until respring or reboot.

MessageHeads and TypeStatus conflict and cause safe mode.

Not 100% certain if the culprit is LockHTML3. Probably will be fixed by #37 anyway.

No idea how this could happen...

Workaround:

Go to /var/mobile/Library/Preferences (in iFile, tap the house icon, then Library and Preferences), delete ws.hbang.typestatus.plist, and respring. (This resets all TypeStatus settings, so you'll need to reconfigure it to your liking again.)

TypeStaus doesn't hide the status bar in apps such as Tweetbot or Mailbox that use the status bar to display actions. It instead just gives it as an underlay and TypeStatus is shown over it.

When you have a hotspot connection and the big blue status bar shows up, TypeStatus's messages show up in the center of that bar (partially over the personal hotspot connection status).

Uninstall of TypeStatus allows GmailHybrid to open w/o crash.
