Netzwelt Exercise

The application is primarily built using Python, with Flask as its web app development framework. Tailwind CSS and vanilla Javascript are used to deliver the UI requirement on toggling display of parent - child territories.

The app is deployed at Heroku, in which deployment method is via connection with GitHub repository. Current deployment configuration is set to automatic for every push to the 'master' in GitHub.

For testing in development environment, the app can be tested via Codespace in GitHub.

  1. Install dependency requirements

    pip install -r requirements.txt

  2. Then run the app.py. The console will provide the link.

Login Feature

Key requirements to build are:

  • A login screen with username and password as inputs
  • Login page should prompt error message if invalid username or password.
  • If successfully authenticated, the user shall be redirected to the home page.
  • Login credentials should be authenticated by consuming the API (via POST method)

Deployment

Deploy the code live in a free hosting service specified per exercise guide.
