brew on arm installs libs in opt/homebrew/lib or something like that which is not the standard /usr/lib where the compiler expects it to be (and where brew USED to install stuff I think).
Verify the new location of those libs on your computer and then look up how to set env variables in your ~/.profile so they configure the compiler in every session.
