Upgrade dependencies, especially Vite to version 3+.

Seriously, this package isn't up to date and is therefore incompatible with React Router. Such a pain. So out it goes.

The website is currently hosted on Github Pages which only supports static sites, not SPAs with React Router. The issue has been circumvented with https://github.com/rafgraph/spa-github-pages (thanks mate!) but it shouldn't be used when deploying to Netlify who does support SPAs.

The goal is to automate the process of deployment for both Github Pages and Netlify. This is likely going to involve messing with NPM scripts to copy and rename files before building for production.

Definitions on the home pages are loaded via a series of AJAX requests to static JSON files. They appear all at once upon completion of the request.

The goal is to lazy load them, the list of chapters is streamed via an Observable and a new chapter's definitions are loaded when the user scrolls at the bottom of the page.
