dotfiles's Issues

Moving lines up and down

My mapping for J and K to move lines up and down is messed up. When I do this it closes all of my folds.

I do not remember it ever doing this, and I cannot figure out what is causing it to happen now.

Problem with having a git repo that clones into the home folder

I have come across issues with programs such as git-radar when i have a git repo in the home folder...

Traversing into subfolders of ~/ Such as ~/Documents are still shown as part of the home folder repo.

Therefore, I am considering altering this repo so that you clone anywhere, and make a script that will symlink all the files in this repo and put the symlinks in the home folder, thus eliminating this issue.

There will also be no need for the .gitignore file anymore which is getting quite large.

Clean up the home directory

I find there are too many scripts in the home folder... Should be hidden more. Either putting them in a hidden folder or some other change that will reduce the clutter a little bit.

Problem with EasyMotion, Quick-scope and fanfingtastic

When using easymotion, it highlights some letter differently to see them easier so I can move there. Unfortunately, Quick-scope still shows its highlighted letters, which makes it very confusing.

Luckily, there is an option for quick-scope "g:qs_highlight_on_keys" which lets me say to only do quick-scope highlighting when I use f F t or T.

Unfortunately, while Fanfingtastic is being used, having the above option produces an error because both quick scope and fanfingtastic are trying to map f F t and T.

I may need to remove either fanfingtastic, or quick-scope, or find a way to let both of them map the keys in such a way that it works as intended.

Move LaTeX to my CV repo

I don't really need the LaTeX files and fonts in this repo.

They are only used for my CV, so move them there...

Maybe write a script that will symlink the fonts back to ~/

Add comments to .cfg files

Now that I have enabled commenting the .cfg files in auto-clone and auto-install-programs I need to add some comments so that I know what all of the repos and programs are for.

Vim-multiplecursors

I cannot use t T f or F commands with multiple cursors because of a conflict with fanfingtastic.

Need to figure out how to disable fanfingtastic when using multiple cursors.

Problem sourcing the bashrc for an ssh session

After commit 2470bbd the bashrc file appears to be sourced twice because the fortune call at the end of the bashrc is executed twice and two fortunes are displayed.

The extra source would be from the .bash_profile which is sourced on ssh login, but without the .bash_profile file, other parts of the .bashrc file such as the aliases (which are sourced from .bash_aliases from the .bashrc file) do not work .
