Currently most CC-CEDICT entries still use the supplied Mainland Chinese one. They should be switched/converted to the Taiwanese Mandarin one.
Options should be:
Numbered Pinyin
Accented Pinyin
Zhuyin
Definitions using HTML for dictionary entries should be implemented using a proper template engine like Handlebars or JINJA2, instead of building the HTML string using a String builder.
The visibility of the following two pieces of information should be optional:
As a user I want to be able to set configuration options via a menu (UI).
The configuration options should be stored in a single YAML file in the appropriate user config directory for the operating system.
As a user I want to be able to create a new dictionary entry for words that are lacking in the existing dictionary sources.
The Anki note creation dialog and potentially also the others don't resize well. Change the GUI elements' layout constraints to resize better.
As a user, I want to be able to add a custom definition to an existing entry.
When the dictionary source files are parsed and the database constructed a splash screen should be displayed showing the current progress.
