lazyorbit's Issues

Have you abandoned this mod?

Hi,

I put in a pull request on April 15th, and according to GitHub you've had no activity here for months now. The current released version of Lazy Orbit doesn't work (at least not in 0.1.3 game with SpaceWarp 1.3.0). The fix is trivial, but without a new release, players will not be able to use it.

I'm going to release a Lazy Orbit - Boosted mod on SpaceDock and in the Forums to that players can continue to use this great mod in the new version of the game. I'll be happy to back off from that and turn the project back over to you at any time, but as things stand it appears you may have abandoned this mod.

If you'd like to grab the fix and take this back over it's in my fork of your mod and you're more than welcome to it. At some point, I may update this to use the new UITK GUI, but I've got other projects that will come first. Whatever I do, you're welcome to reclaim this anytime - it was yours to start with and I'd rather see it stay yours, but I hate to see it fall into disuse.

Rendezvous resets

Used Rendezvous to put a pod 100m from a station. The distance ended up being 256m. When approaching the station, the pod kept having its distance reset, making approach impossible. Decided to attempt exiting to the KSP and back to the vessel, but the vessel did not show in the tracking station at all.

Not sure if this matters, but the station was put in orbit using LO with no issue.

Not sure if this is for sure a LO bug or KSP mechanics, but does break some functionality of the mod.

[FEATURE] Landing: Select Lat/Lon Graphically from body

Love this mod! It's great for testing my ship designs.

Another thing that would make this mod even better is if there was a way to select your landing Lat/Lon graphically on the body kind of like MechJeb used to do. Basically, some way to click on the body, and ideally paint some sort of marker there to show the user where they clicked. This might be harder than plucking the Lat/Lon from an already landed craft, but it would be fantastic for those times when you don't yet have a craft landed near where you want to go.

If clicking on the body to get a Lat/Lon is hard, then a good workaround would be to simply paint a marker on the body where the current Lat/Lon is and the user can poke around with different values until they get the marker where they want?

[FEATURE] Landing: Get Lat/Lon from selected target

Love this mod! It's great for testing my ship designs.

One thing that would make it even better is if there was a way to select your landing Lat/Lon by selecting a target already landed on that body. For example, if I've already got one craft landed and I'd like to pick it, have that crafts info be used to populate the Lat/Lon.

For bonus points, have a "nudge" capability expressed in meters to nudge the current Lat/Lon in increments of 10 or 100 m N/S/E/W so that you don't come down right on top of the selected target!
